Pros: Top quality and easy operation Cons: A thermal carafe option would be a good touch on this model.
The Bunn NHB 10 cup coffee maker is simply the best coffee maker I've ever used...and I've gone through quite a few over the years. The taste is superb, which is 95% of the game. The spray nozzle distributes the hot water evenly and with enough ...
Pros: Part, 2nd pot at small home appliance stores. Dishwasher safe. IT IS FAST!!! Cons: Can get white build up on reservoir, the tool a bit challenging to use.
My husband and I tried several different coffee makers, but none of them could keep up when we had company. A friend recommended trying Bunn. This coffee pot makes a very QUICK pot of coffee very well. It was able to keep up with our coffee drinking ...
Pros: Coffee flavor, professional look Cons: Burns the coffee quickly, several quality control problems
I got the Bunn because of my experience with them in the restaurant biz and although I originally reviewed it very positively, I am compelled to do a rewrite because as we speak, I have given the unit to a friend and have ordered something different ...
Pros: Hot coffee in minutes.
Easy to use and care for. Cons: None, were talking a great cup of coffee here.
My first encounter with a Bunn Coffee Maker was at my Aunt's home. She always made a good cup of coffee but this visit was different. We had been out shopping, one of our usual shop till you drop adventures. After helping carry her packages in, she ...
Pros: Hot water. Fast brewing. No steam. Cons: Cost. Must make at least 4 cups.
I read a lot about the Bunn Natural Home Brewer (NHB). When I found a department store closing out the older model NHB for $59 I bought one. The retail for the newer NHBX is about $120. Others on epinions have written excellent reviews. I am ...
Pros: Water heated to the proper temp., fast, excellent coffee. Cons: The internal water heater switch has been accidentally turned off a time or two
So I was visiting my parents for a weekend, and both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the good coffee. In times past we have almost dreaded the obligatory cup of coffee since it's usually pretty bad (my parents are known to heat day old ...
Pros: Super-fast, hot, "pure"-tasting coffee, from a name you can trust! Cons: None.
I purchased my BUNN coffeemaker almost ten months ago after deciding to upgrade from a $15 Black and Decker. It cost me almost ten times as much to get it and I had to look long and hard to find the BUNN in Canada. Why go through all that trouble and ...
Pros: None Cons: Too expensive, inferior quality, machine breaks easily
I bought this machine for my wife for x-mas 2006. It listed for $120 but I paid $99 on sale. I bought this on a recommendation from a friend who said Bunn coffee makers are worth the money. What an absolute over statement. The first thing I noticed is ...
Pros: Quick, reliable coffee Cons: Spray head doesn't 'click' into place. I just inspected it for underside cracks, no problems.
I've had this coffeemaker, in service, for about a year. (This machine has a three year warranty.) After a few weeks of (yeah) crap coffee, I inspected the unit. Seems that a prior customer had purchased it and stolen the *spray head* out of it. ...
Pros: How fast it brews coffee, easy to clean... Cons: When you find 10 cups of water on your counter. Trash it.
I have had three Bunn coffee machines over the past thirteen years. The colors are great, the coffee machine blends in with all of my other appliances. If you don't want to wait around for your coffee to brew, this is the machine to have, hands ...
Pros: Great coffee quickly. Extra good customer service. Cons: To be picky, maybe a beeper to tell when the coffee is done.
To address the "Con" reviews first, for people with water softeners or people who grind their own coffee extra fine, there is a flow restrictor FREE from Bunn that prevents the water overflowing the filter paper cup. For the people that mention that the ...
Pros: Fast, good hot coffee Cons: Brew funnel is flimsy and a little difficult to insert.
I just received my Bunn NHBX-B 10-Cup Coffee Maker and after carefully following directions made my first cup of coffee for my husband. He has been complaining about our (expensive) coffee maker making lousy lukewarm coffee, and Bunn has a great reputation (although not with the 3 reviews here).
He said it was the best cup of coffee he had had in a long time. As long as it keeps up the good work, I will give this coffee maker 5 stars for coffee.
Be sure to read that closing the lid starts the hot water flowing rather than a switch.
Pros: Fast and easy to operate Cons: Poor coffee, expensive, prone to filter overflow
I purchased this coffee maker to replace a Melitta Fast-Brew MEF2B (cone filter) for use in our office. After a week of coffee made with this Bunn machine, the consensus opinion was not good. The Bunn-prepared coffee was just missing something and sort of bland. Everyone complained that the coffee made using our old Melitta Fast-Brew was better.
We tried increasing the coffee/water ratio, but that only resulted in the grounds overflowing the basket filter.
The coffee would come out somewhat better by interrupting the brewing by opening the reservoir lid after just wetting the grounds, pausing until it stopped dripping, restarting by closing the lid; this was repeated two or three additional times during the brewing cycle.
I would have just bought another Melitta Fast-Brew MEFB2 if they were still available. This was our fourth. They lasted a year or so with 8h/d use.
Excellent Coffee Maker for the Mechanically Inclined by uwil0m ,Nov 18 '07
Pros: Excellent coffee taste, fast, made in North America, parts easily available. Cons: Must follow complicated directions for initial setup and for normal use.
I bought the Bunn to replace a Krups. Was immediately pleased with the excellent tasting coffee. It did a much better job than the Krups did with the same type of coffee. The Bunn is a complicated machine that has a constantly heated reservoir that can make 10 cups of coffee in 3 minutes. You MUST carefully FOLLOW the manual when initially setting up this machine for first use. Once setup, you have to remember that the door to the water intake has a switch. Don't shut that door until the coffee decanter is in place and the coffee holder is in position.
Pros: Great coffee, fast to brew, fast and easy cleanup, quiet operation Cons: Some may not like having the tank water being kept hot all the time.
This is a terrific coffeemaker. As is true with all the Bunn machines it stores the water at about 200F and when you pour the water in the top and close the cover the water is sprayed into the basket with the filter and grounds.
It is true, it's important to use Bunn filters to avoid basket overflow. I purchase them at our local Target store for $1 for a box of 100. Can't beat that.
Brewing into a carafe to hold the coffee makes the most sense to maintain the best coffee flavor, as compared to the brewed coffee sitting on a sizzling hot plate.
The best coffeemaker I have used is my 1961 Sunbeam C50 vacuum pot. But it takes time and effort to make a perfect pot of coffee. My situation has changed and I don't have that much time in the morning. The Bunn fits the need perfectly.
