Pros: Lightweight, sturdy, safe, roomy. Good value although pricey. Cons: none
This review if for the Burley bike trailer that I purchased about 2 years ago when our daughter was born. This trailer is made for two kids together or one in the middle by themselves. I'm excited to have our new baby soon and will be able to take them ...
Pros: compact and lightweight, very easy to setup, smoothe ride Cons: Expensive
We have two little boys and they love to go. So we were looking for a carrier that would allow us to take them places like parks and pools. We heard from a lot of people about the quality of the Burley and when we searched around it was obvious why....
Pros: safe, durable, smooth ride, roomy Cons: older versions do not fold, expensive if buying new
I recently bought a slightly older version of this bike trailer and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The five-point harness provides safety that some other trailers simply do not offer. And it is roomy enough for two small children to ride...
Pros: Comfortable fit for two, easy steering, smooth ride, roomy storage, safety features, sturdy, versatile Cons: Expensive, wide, bulky, stroller attachment not good for indoor use
I use the Burley D'Lite primarily with the stroller attachment to run and walk with my two children, ages 2 and 4. My husband uses it primarily as a bicycle trailer. We both love its versatility and find it an excellent investment despite its expensive...
Pros: made like they used to make things back in the day Cons: NONE
Very seldom are there products that seem to defy the modern trend towards cheap disposable product. These items are designed around a more old fashioned paradigm, durability and function. The Burley d'Lite is one of those products. One of, if not the...
Pros: easy to use/ reliable attachment mechanism, great storage, weather proof, durable Cons: Shoulder belts attach too low at back of seats, causes some discomfort for taller kids
We are a family of 6 and we go everywhere with our bikes, infants in tow. We have owned numerous trailers but for the last 2 years we have been thrashing our Burley D'lite. I have to tell you this is the best trailer we have owned by far. I am a huge ...
Pros: smooth, lightweight, easy to fold and transport, easy to clean Cons: NONE!!!
This has got to be one of the best purchases I've made in a long time, especially, for kids gear. I needed a way to get a work out while taking care of my 8 month and 23 month old children, so I decided to buy a bike trailer that converts to a jogging ...
Pros: 1. SAFE 2. Wind proof, 3. So smooth, it glides Cons: 1. Wheels are not shock proof
2. price
Okay, to keep the story short, we were in the market for a bike trailer for our little one since we just took up the hobby of mountain biking in Colorado. All summer last year, we tried to look for a used one, no luck, so we finally gave in and bought a...
Pros: nice colors and kids like it Cons: expensive, VERY POOR WARRANTY, poor fabric quality
The (blue\Yellow) Nylon fabric did not last long due to being weathered from natural elements. It got mildewed and began to deteriorate almost immediately. The fabric stains very easliy, and these [water] stains are nearly impossible to remove. When I...
Pros: easy to hitch, easy to fold, lots of cargo space, so much fun! Cons: top seam is not water proof
I bought this trailer in May of 2002. I thought I would take my boys to the park twice a week. I was wrong! I use it almost on a daily basis in good weather. I lost 10 pounds in the first three months of owning it without changing my diet. It is very...
Nice Trailer (and stroller) by frankflynn ,Jan 31 '06
Pros: Very handy, safe and versatile, lightweight for it's size. Cons: Fabric wears, ages and is expensive to replace
I bought this trailer over 5 years ago and have loved having it. I recommend you also consider the third wheel and handle which makes it into a stroller. You can get these later if you wish.
I have had 3 kids grow up using it and thought I'd be selling it now that the kids are all old enough to ride by them selves yet I still find this useful for groceries or for picnics where I've got a lot to carry.
I have only one complaint. That is the fabric wears out, it disintegrates from the sun, mildews from water (or juice spilled inside of it). Although mine is mechanically sound I need to replace the fabric and this is expensive. $360 to replace everything (and after all it all needs to be replaced). That was more than I paid for it. To be fair this also includes new sides (which make my older square one like the new round style).
Worth the top dollar paid! by misterbiggtime ,Sep 06 '04
Pros: Safe, cool looking, lightweight, excellent resale. Cons: A little bulky to be used as a stroller at certain places.
This is a great, safe, stylish trailer for your kids or dog. It is light and easy to set up and break down if needed. We opted for the stroller attachment, and use it to tote around two kids at amusement parks. I looked around at other trailers, asked several bike shops, compared the going rates of used ones, and decided to buy a Burley. These things really have good resale value. When you are ready to dump it (after your kid(s)outgrows it, expect a good return on your investment, especially if you have taken good care of it. Very high quality and attention to detail with these trailers. I find it to be a very safe trailer as well. If your bike tips over, the trailers remains upright. If for some crazy reason you really go crazy and fall off a cliff, the precious is protect by safety harnesses, and a strong roll cage. What I really enjoy about towing kids in a trailer is that they usually go right to sleep. ZZZZZZZZZ.......
Pros: Light, extremely smooth ride, very roomy for the riders. Cons: Just the initial sticker shock!
All I have to say is thank god I didn't buy a cheap one. This trailer is wonderful. I have boys who are going to be big and tall. This trailer will work far beyond almost any other model I looked at. It's roomy, well ventilated, easy to control, lot's of extras!! It collapses as is fairly easy to transport. Large spoke wheels makes it a breeze to pull. You can't go wrong if your willing to make the investment! This trailer is twice what I paid for my bike, but I absolutely love it!
