Pros: Nice, manly smell, exfoliates well, natural, relatively inexpensive, got my son into the shower! Cons: It's being discontinued! *sigh*
My younger son loves Burt's Bees Bay Rum Exfoliating Bar Soap and, when a kid is just realizing the importance of good hygiene and smelling good at all times, finding a soap that he loves and that smells good is a big plus. I tried this soap ...

Pros: Wonderful aroma, it exfoliates extremely well, makes skin soft. Cons: Too scratchy for my liking.
A while back a friend of mine gave me a very nice gift for my birthday. She is into all natural products, and she pampered me a Burt's Bees Head to Toe Starter Kit. This kit is wonderful, containing baby oil, lip balm, hand salve, carrot ...
Pros: smells good enough to eat, exfoliates without irritating skin Cons: can't get enough of smelling my man, full-sized bar is pricey
I love the fragrance of the Bay Rum line by Burt’s Bees. When my fiancé is wearing anything from this product line, I can’t get enough of smelling his skin! I have to admit I love the fragrance so much, that I’ve tried some of the products myself, even ...
Pros: The aroma is earthy and robust, sticks in your olfactory memory like a favorite meal. Cons: Not always easily available
'Hooked' is definitely the word. My girlfriend and I have been using this soap almost exclusively for years. When we run out it's panic time. When we travel she says "Boo, did you pack the Burt's " She is allergic to most perfumes but mad about this ...
I buy this for my hubby by the case! by dustyrose1973 ,Jan 12 '04
Pros: LOVE the scent, is exfoliating Cons: Hmmm...can't think of one :-)
Yes, it's true. I LOVE this stuff so much that I bought my husband an entire CASE of the stuff!
First and foremost...it smells WONDERFUL! I follow my husband around all day after he uses it just so I can smell him! It has a manly scent that is very earthy...kind of hard to describe...very basic and not trendy at all.
He likes the scent as well. He also likes how it's "scratchy". Most of the time he uses Dial and I don't think he'd ever had the pleasure of using an exfoliating bar before. He does a lot of work outside and after a long day in the dirt he'll ask me to scrub his back with it because it "feels good"
I have also given this as a gift to male family members before and have had only kudos...no complaints!
I don't know that I would recommend this to women because it is a fairly manly scent but I guess that would depend on her taste. However, I would definitely recommend this to all men!
Bring this back, Burt! It's GREAT!!! by landsurveyor ,Mar 30 '05
Pros: Great scent, effective without being too aggressive. Cons: DISCONTINUED!!!!!!
I was given a sample bar of this exfoliating soap and tried it just recently. I really like the smell of this soap and it works very well without being too aggressive. I truly believe this product has no real competitor mainly because of its scent- it's great!!!
Unfortunately, they have discontinued its manufacture. RATS! Just when I find something terrific for my skin (did I mention great-smelling?) it's no longer produced.
