Pros: Smells good when dry. Cons: No scent when in use, left my hair dull, waxy and gross.
Last year when I was sick my husband bought a little kit for me that consisted of a plastic cosmetics clutch filled with several travel sized Burt's Bees products. There are only a few Burt's Bees products that I like so I removed those from the bag and ...
Pros: not one that I can think of Cons: leaves you with dry, brittle, greasy, scummy hair that stinks
I'm not against trying new products, even if they don't seem like they'd work. I can usually find at least one attribute about products that might appeal to someone. After trying the Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar that came in my Head to Toe ...
Pros: Unusual product; good lather; cleans well; leaves hair soft. Cons: Hair needs to be washed again the next day; fragrance doesn't last.
I love strange products - the more off-the-wall they seem, the more fascinated I become. Perhaps this is why I've become so infatuated with Burt's Bees products - while made from mostly natural ingredients, their products are often comprised of strange ...
Pros: Smell, all-natural, no animal testing Cons: everything else, performance
I was so excited about trying many of the Burt's Bees products, I bought an entire sample kit for myself! This included a sample of the Rosemary-Mint Shampoo Bar. I had never tried shampoo bars before, so I didn't know what to expect. Product ...
Pros: Bar form is convenient for travel. Cons: It smells like dirt.
Nothin' minty about it. This shampoo bar smells, well ... bad. Really, really bad. It has the sort of earthy smell that must have permeated the lower decks of the Mayflower after its fifth or sixth week at sea. All right, I exaggerate ...
Pros: Makes hair feel thicker, healthier. Nice minty smell. No need for conditioner. Cons: Can be difficult to rinse out. Doesn't leave hair as shiny as other products can.
I first bought a trial kit containing the Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar after hearing so many wonderful things about Burt's Bees products. I am in the process of growing my hair long again and thought the natural shampoo bar might help. The first time ...
Pros: Nice minty invigorating scent, cool idea Cons: Leaves film of waxy residue on hair after drying, leaving it heavy with grease. Pricey!
I'm a 14 year old who is an avid product junkie, so I was super excited to try some of Burt's new products after falling in love with their lip balm, garden tomato cleanser, and avocado hair butter. So this summer, I decided to treat myself to a little ...
Pros: pleasant smell, cute packaging,no animal testing, all natural Cons: left hair greasy, dry, waxy and brittle
I have never really liked the idea of using a bar of soap as a shampoo.I prefer to use a liquid shampoo. I decided to try the Burt's bee's rosemary shampoo bar however because I love the Burt's bee company and it's many wonderful products. I really like ...
Pros: smells great, healthy hair Cons: $6 a bar, takes getting used to
When I first started using the shampoo bar, I also had the experience of initially weighed-down hair. I had been warned, however, that going from regular synthetic shampoo to a natural shampoo bar will include an adjustment period, so I stuck it out and kept using it.
Now I love the bar, after 1-2 weeks my hair began to respond beautifully to it... it feels healthy and seems to hold up better to humidity and outside influences.
Bottom line, it's a great product if being earth-friendly and all natural is important to you; if you're just looking for a different shampoo to try, then you won't want to wait for the "transition period" and should skip over it.
Also it smells like rosemary and mint just like it says, so don't use it if you hate those smells of course.
This is a great product! by morninglory ,Jun 19 '07
Pros: Great to travel with. Cons: Takes time to get used to.
Switching to a natural product for your hair gets some getting used to but since I've been using this my hair is getting all kinds of compliments. And on trips there is no problem taking it through security like with the liquid shampoos that take more then 3oz. to get your hair clean. I've been using this for about 4 months now and will continue. But if you want your hair heavily perfumed, this is not for you. The scent is very natural and clean smelling and if you do not like the scent of Rosemary this is not for you. Since using this product I no longer need a conditioner. I know that most will consider a bar shampoo to be just too weird. I thought so too. I was given a bar at Christmas and it took me a month to even unwrap it. But I'm glad I did. I am sold!
Burts Bees - good for fine hair by salaciousone ,Jan 26 '08
Pros: Gave my fine hair body and left it touchable and soft. Cons: Same as other products I've used to get extra body in my hair.
I understand the other reviews - but I have very fine hair and have to use mousse, or sprays to give my hair some body - and they tend to dry out my hair and leave it untouchable.
This shampoo bar gave my hair really nice fullness, a not-overwhelming aroma, and still left it touchable.
It did get a little tacky to the touch if I didn't wash it every other day, and I noticed a build up in my hair brush which had to be washed out every few weeks - but no different than the other hair products I've used to give my hair body.
