Pros: Engrossing book with a unique plot. Likeable characters. Cons: None for me, but some may find the book too different.
Dean Koontz has been one of my favorite authors for several years now. I have many of his books and I buy his new books as soon as they come out. I love his books. They are a bit strange, so some people wont like them, but if you like somewhat ...
Pros: Dylan, Shep, Jilly and the Storyline Cons: Ending could have been better
Dean Koontz writes another book that makes me think "Uh oh...that isn't entirely impossible." Part of the horror of his books is injecting possible real scenarios into our minds that we haven't thought of before...or wanted to. By the Light ...
Coupla years ago, Dean Koontz fell asleep at his desk and took a nap for about 3 or 4 months. When he woke up, he looked at his computer and saw he had finished a manuscript. Without bothering to read it through and make sure it doesnt suck, he ...
Pros: Excellent story. Nicely read with a baritone voice. Cons: Slightly weak ending.
Id like to start this review by informing the reader that I am reviewing the unabridged audio version of Dean Koontzs By The Light of the Moon. This is the second audio book that Ive listened to in the last week. Im becoming an ...
Pros: Great plot, thrilling, good characters Cons: wordy, bad ending
This is the very first Dean Koontz book I have read. I have mostly stuck to James Patterson. I find Koontz to be more of the supernatural writer compared to others I have read. He reminds me of Stephen King. Very out-there story lines. The Good ...
Pros: Love the plot. Koontz continues his trend of the unusual! Cons: that the book had to end!
Dean Koontz has done it again. He has brought a book with likeable characters to life and used "unusual" situations for his plot.

Pros: will make you turn the pages even if it's not believable Cons: very supernatural, unbelievable events, abrupt uncomfortable ending
I read Koontz's False Memory several years ago and even reread it because I thought it was such a great book. We bought this one during an after-Christmas paperback sale but I have only just gotten around to reading it. I enjoy stories that I can ...
Pros: The writer, as usual, makes you think, "Could that really happen?" Cons: I didn't particularly like the ending. It could have been a little more dramatic.
Three ordinary people are traveling down the highway of life. Two are brothers, the other is a stand-up comedienne. Little did they know that a rest at a hotel would turn out to be anything but. A mad scientist type injects all of them with...
"I Enjoy Reading Dean Koontz By The Light of the Moon" by zenmachado ,Apr 13 '07
Pros: The story packs a thrilling punch. Its a fast pace read that intrigues. Cons: That its misunderstood as a horror tale, rather than a dark comedy thriller.
"By The Light of the Moon" by Dean Koontz
Dylan O'Conner is catapulted into a bizarre voyage, when he's randomly attacked & injected with a mysterious substance, by a crazed doctor, who informs him that it will give him wonderful abilities. Then follows, a delightful tale, of a phenomenal type.
Conner, his autistic brother Chep (who's a warm charming character), & another victim of the doctor, because of these events, are thrown into a campaign to figure out what was the "Stuff" injected and if the results will be marvelous or the death of them.
"B.T.L.O.T.M." is a compelling, enchanting, and absolutely fetching, novel. It's a fast pace read and streams with forcible fluidity.
Dean Koontz has a habitual inclination, to fill his novels with heaps of description and to delve deeply into analyzing every little passage. In this novel, you don't experience that. You receive only the essential and fundamental, which makes the read delectable and vibrant.
The likeable characters were solid & alluring.
I loved the charming gleeful dark humor, they held.
If you're expecting gore and massive killings of the horrific kind.. look further, for this is a thrilling tale of the dark comedic type.
Pros: Interesting Characters and story Cons: sometimes too wordy
I really liked this book but I like pretty much all of Dean Koontz's books. The story was interesting and so were the characters. I thought the story towards the end took a surprising turn but I agree with others when they say that the actually ending is kind of weak.
