  • Genuine African Cameroon and Extremely Box Pressed

    Mar 27 '02
    Pros: Great flavor.
    Cons: Irregular shape, somewhat expensive.

Summary: I am going to get right down to brass tacks and say that this was one of the better cigars I've tried all year.

  • Worth the high price!

    Nov 07 '02
Pros: Outstanding flavor, excellent construction, no problems
    Cons: expensive

Summary: If you have looked at any of the C.A.O. line of cigars, you have noticed that they all have something in common. The price! C. A. O. make some very fine cigars, but they are quite expensive. This is one cigar that I think is worth the price.

  • C.A.O. Brazilia - a trip to the dark side..

    Feb 26 '02
Pros: Wickedly dark and rich, burns cool with intense flavors that build throughout the smoke
Cons: Draw's a bit firm, due to a tighter and difficult roll - still wonderful!

Summary: OK, so by now, having read the title you've figured out that I'm cheating a little - this review is for the C.A.O. Brazilia SAMBA - a full-size belicoso with a fantastic knockout punch of flavors and richness - in short, another fine smoke from C.A.O. --...

  • Good smoke on a great product Line

    Feb 22 '02
Pros: Dynamic fullness and body, great cameroon wrapper, decent roll
Cons: While the roll is good, it's not great - the burn suffers a bit accordingly

Summary: I figure since I wrote up the Robusto yesterday, I might as well cover the Belicoso. Like all CAO offerings, the Belicoso is another real solid smoke - It's one of my favorites in the line (again, both Extreme and Cami wrappers) but for different...

  • A Good Afternoon Smoke

    Aug 08 '01
Pros: well made, box-pressed, complex, smooth
Cons: finish might be too husky for beginners

Summary: The C.A.O. L'Anniveraire Cameroon Belicoso is as interesting as its name. The cameroon wrapper is a unique color blend of maroon, tan and natural brown; on touch, it is smooth and oily. The belicoso shape means that the cigar is pointed like a pyramid at...

  • C.A.O. CAMEROON BELICOSO: The Gentleman's Cigar

    Jul 06 '00
    Pros: Solid Performer
    Cons: Finishes With a Bite

Summary: The C.A.O. Cameroon Belicoso tempts me to recall many lazy afternoons spent at the Gentleman's Club, relaxing with the The Times and discussing politics with old friends.

With a wrapper the color of an old, well worn leather club...
