Pros: reasonably priced, neat atmosphere, cool decor and pet friendly

This is a very nice resort to stay at in Palm Springs. For similarly priced hotels, Caliente Tropics surpasses most with its atmosphere and Polynesian theme. Though I stayed alone and for only two nights, they appear to be a family friendly hotel and certain rooms also allow pets.

It's close to downtown and there are two restaurants, Mexican and Hawaiin food, and a bar with reasonably priced drinks. This is my first choice when I go back to Palm Springs and I highly recommend others to give Caliente a shot.
Tip: Try to book a room with a mountain view!
