Pros: Great taste with Omega-HydroGuard bladder, many useful storage compartments, excellent strap system and motion stabilization.
Cons: On the expensive side for a CamelBak, but not bad when compared to other daypacks.

by CNunn Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Feb 03 '01
Pros: It holds 100 ounces of water. You can put ice cubes in it.
Cons: Pricey and can be heavy at times.
The Camelback H.A.W.G. is one easy way to have a source of water all the time. I was first introduced to this great product, while I was in Denver. My brother has a spinal cord injury and we were out in Denver at the Craig Spinal Cord Hospital...

Holds A lot of Water & Gear

by DoubleCoog Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Nov 08 '99
Pros: 100 oz bladder and 900 cu in of storage space with multiple zippered pockets
Cons: Can get heavy when loaded up
H.A.W.G. is an acronym for CamelBak's 100 oz (3 L) hydration system with 900 cubic inches of storage space. (It also is what other rides may be thinking of you while you refill the equivalent of 4 water bottles at a road side rest stop).

But...

Pros: BIG pack - holds a lot of water and gear
Cons: I think it's a little pricey
This pack is great. I live in Arizona and ride a motorcycle. I bought this pack when my girlfriend and I rode out to San Diego. Going across the desert in August, we needed enough water for both of us. The HAWG was plenty. The water even stayed...

A must for mt. bikers and skiers/snowboarders

by JeffB , Nov 05 '99
Pros: holds plenty of water, tools, tubes, and food. Elastic straps good for attatching extra clothing.
Cons: pricey, cleaning it if it gets grody inside, the CamelBak mouthpiece can leak
I wish I invented this product. It's such a simple, untechnical concept. Most of all, its a dam good idea. If you are serious about riding bikes, skis or snowboards, or like to hike, climb or motocross, you probably already have a water hydration...

Here's a huge secret that the party animal must know.

by white_cocoa , Jan 14 '00
Pros: You can put any liquid in it and it stays cool
Cons: it's alittle uncomfortable to put on because of the shape of the straps and because i'm 6 feet.
Alright, here's the truth. I've used the great piece of work for many an occasion. First I had used the camelbak for cold water, as I ran through my cross country trails at home. It was great, because the foamish material on the inside keeps the water...

Pros: 200oz water supply with extra pouch,Well worth the cost of survival.
Cons: little heavy.
I'm in the military and I purchased the H.A.W.G. for some of the work I do. I use it extensively due to the fact that there may not be a water supply around for a while. I've double loaded it with two pouches and it tends to get heavy after a while but...
