APS is great..Camera isn't!

by mike_metro , Nov 05 '05
Pros: APS Format (Easy film loading, 3 Image Formats, etc) and easy to use
Cons: Expensive and Defective
If I reviewed this camera a month ago I would have given it 4 - 5 stars. I have really enjoyed the great pictures it takes and the 3 image formats available (the panoramic shots are great). The camera was very easy to use, thanks to the APS format. ...

Easy To Use APS Point-And-Shoot Camera - Canon Elph Z3

by jps246, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 12 '04
Pros: Sleek and Stylish, Easy-to-use, APS Film System, Zoom Lens
Cons: no macro mode
A step up in sleekness, function and form from some of the less expensive and less feature rich Elphs, the Canon Elph Z3 is a small, light and easy to use APS film camera that should be more than enough for most point and shoot photographers. ...

The Elph is a small, convenient camera

by cowtipperliz , Feb 22 '04
Pros: Small and powerful. The elph is a great investment
Cons: APS film is expensive to develop.
I have owned my elph for over a year now and it has traveled with me through Europe, across the US, and is with me every day in my purse or backpack. I bought the camera to go with me to Ireland and Germany, and I'm so glad that I bought it. I was ...

Elph Z3 - a lemon in the shape of a camera?

by dloden10 , Dec 26 '02
Pros: size
Cons: durability is low
My Elph Z3 broke (locked up). I sent it in for repairs (it should be under warranty since the product has only been on the market for less than a year). It was sent under Canon's instructions to a supposedly authorized camera repair shop in Duluth, GA....

Cons: Pictures overall, Door over the lens, Zoom, Price
Nice small camera I guess you can say does the job but im a perfectionist I think I have seen better pictures from ten dollar cameras and if you look at the price you get scared. I think you are paying more for the size thats about it. APS photo system...

The Elph Z3: A True Successor to the Elph 2?

by CellKnowledge , Jul 20 '02
Pros: compact size, different picture sizes, sturdy aluminum case. Also includes free battery and film.
Cons: front slide can be defective, zoom is slightly improved over Elph 2.
The Elph Z3 is an APS camera recently introduced by Canon USA and is thought to be the successor of the Elph 2. Offhand, by the looks of the Z3, I thought I would be in for a surprise.

The first thing I noticed was the different bodystyle...

I LOVE IT

by kimmyr11 , Jun 10 '02
Pros: wonderfully small, pictures as good as 35mm, 3 different sizes with ease
Cons: MAY not take as good of shots in the dark, not a lot of zoom
On my last vacation I got so tired of lugging around a big camera that I did not take many pictures... Saw this camera and fell in love with it on sight! However, after reading some reviews regarding the older versions of the APS cameras I became a...

My Elph Z3 broke after...
by billj_dt3000 ,Dec 26 '02
My Elph Z3 broke after very light use. I sent it in for repairs, and after much run around was told the warranty was voided due to a dent in the side (which wasn't there when I sent it in) and it would cost $82 $6 shipping to get the camera fixed and back to me. The people on the phone are nice enough, but if you have to get your camera repaired, good luck! I can now get this model for $145 in many places on the web, so why get it fixed for $88? BUT, I won't be buying another Canon product either way.

My Elph Z3 locked up...
by deanna_dt3001 ,Dec 06 '02
My Elph Z3 locked up (the film wouldn't advance and the film door wouldn't open) after only having it about 5 months with only light useage. I've had to send it off for repair. Regarding customer service, they're polite, but not accurate in their information. They gave me an address for an authorized camera repair firm near me to send the camera to, and the address was wrong, so UPS had to track them down. Then when I called the repair place to get a status, they informed me that they were not yet authorized to work on this model since it's been on the market less than 1 year and were having to forward it to the manufacturer in New York. In the beginning, I told the Canon Customer Service rep what model I was inquiring about, so they should have known it would have to go to the manufacturer, since the model is less than 1 year on the market. I wonder if I'll ever see my camera again...
