Pros: Ready to shoot and easy to use Cons: Slightly heavy
I have just been using the new Canon digital EOS350D, the new and improved 8 megapixel camera (it replaces the 6.3mp so I'm told). A camera nerd friend of mine (maybe I'm being too harsh on him, after all he relies on this type of camera for his job), ...

Pros: High image quality. Cheap, light, good for telephoto pics due to 1.6x crop. Cons: Not so good for wide angle or medium telephoto due to 1.6x crop.
Bought the 350D (Rebel XT in the US, I believe), as an upgrade to my Canon S70. I felt restricted by the S70's (and other point-and-shoots) because I could not easily autofocus on moving targets. This situation was a particular problem trying to ...

Pros: 8.0 MP, excellent battery life, wonderful photo quality Cons: No included CF card. Manual modes have some problems in low light situations.
I just got my Rebel in August after getting frustrated with both the limitations of my point and shoot and my being unhappy with the quality and poses of the professional photographers to whom I'd taken my children for their photos. Since I've gotten my ...

Pros: SPEED, battery life Cons: no video
I spent three hours yesterday playing with the brand-new Canon Digital Rebel XT digital SLR camera, and man, was I impressed. I hadn't been too impressed with the original Digital Rebel, except for its revolutionarily low price (for a d-SLR), because ...

Pros: Fast, Accurate Focus, Easy to Operate and Manipulate, Very Durable! Cons: None
I switched from shooting 35mm to digital last November. I didn't want to spend too much on a digital SLR and I wanted one that would be compatible with the Canon Lenses I already had, so I went with a Rebel XT. It came with an 18-55mm lens and all of the ...

Pros: Many upgrades from original, small size, highly capable, under $1,000 Cons: Difficult to grip, plastic body, small focusing screen
The replacement for the original digital Rebel is sure to sell very well considering the upgrades and price. Canon has reduced the old Rebel's price substantially but that's not enough reason to forgo the new XT version. It has 98% of the 20D's ...

Pros: Fast, very Fast. Lightweight. Small. Good price. Very good value for the price Cons: Menu is almost not readable in daylight. Some buttons maybe hit by accident.
Let me start by describing the way I ended up with the 350D. I always owned a SLR starting with the Praktica B200 (1984) till now ending up with the Rebel Ti. In between this the Canon 10S and Elan, one of them ended up in seawater (including me) and the ...

Pros: Great Build Quality, Image Quality Second to None, Great Replacement to original Rebel Cons: Body too small for big hands
To start off, I was very hesitant to replace my Canon Digital Rebel because I thought it was a great camera and the picture quality and build quality was excellent. So many times when a manufacturer replaces a model, the specs may be better on paper, but ...

Pros: Extremely fast shot to shot time and autofocus, great picture quality. Cons: Can't use LCD screen as a viewfinder. Built in flash isn't fast enough.
I've previously owned multiple point-and-shoot digital cameras, a Canon S410 (which I still use), Olympus C8080, several Kodaks, etc. I've also owned several SLRs in the past, all Minoltas of various flavors. Thus far, this is the best overall camera ...

Pros: Quality pics, 8mp, light, many features, all around great camera for the price. Cons: flash may get sticky, plastic body(not an issue with me though)
This review is from a relatively new photography hobbyist joining the world of Digital SLR's, for anyone in the same shoes looking to get into DSLR cameras. I longed for a camera that i could grow with, and learn, hoping one day to learn more about ...

Pros: Lightweight for an SLR Easy to Use Very Good Picture Quality Cons: Lots of Buttons--Could Confuse a Casual User
I have had my Canon Rebel XT for three years, and I have found it to be easy to use, and the photo quality is very good. I've used it indoors and outdoors, with overall great results. Any poor quality photos I got were due to user ...

Pros: Quick start-up time and shutter speeds Cons: bulky, won't fit in the pocket!
Being a new mother, I was getting sick and tired of missing those "Kodak Moments" with my slow digital camera. I knew I had to do something about it. So I went online and searched for another alternative. I first saw this camera when my friend's ...

Pros: Inexpensive, advanced features, RAW mode Cons: Small plastic body; Controls in awkward position
I've had this camera about 3 years now. It has served me very well. It is a basic, digital single lens reflex camera that is great for getting started with more advanced photography techniques. This camera has a number of automatic shooting modes, which ...

Pros: Nothing better for the 800-900$ price range. Cons: Silver?? Come on.. It should only come in black.
I love this camera. I've had it for about 2 months now and I am using it in my college photography class. It takes absolutely stunning pictures, my mom is a digital camera freak and she has bought a new digital camera every year almost since they came ...

Pros: Great starter DSLR. Autofocus, easy auto settings, easy lens interchange. Cons: Bulky, large, tiny display screen, no CF card included.
I was ready to upgrade from my point and shoot! I have some photogrpahy background, but was trained "old school" in film, so this digital technology was new to me beyond what I had learned from my Kodak Easy Share... I was accustomed to "eyeballing" my ...
