Oops, don't lose that honey! Canon Elph LT Camera Size Isn't Everything!

by jro26 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 24 '00
Pros: 3 diff. picture sizes, APS, drop in loading, worlds smallest and lightest camera
Cons: Be careful not to sit on this thing
This is the coolest camera that I have ever owned. I have always bought those cheapo $30 cameras. But when went to Minnesota and Wisconsin for the Ozzfest we forgot a camera. So we were in Target and were just going to buy a couple disposable cameras...

Best film camera for someone not interested in cameras, but photos

by jps246, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Dec 13 '03
Pros: Easy to use, Light, Small, Auto-Focus, APS film System
Cons: It's for people not interested in photography, just people who want pictures
When I was out Christmas shopping last year, I was looking for simplicity in a camera for my partner. He’s not one that is all impressed by the latest features and all he really wanted was a handy little camera to take some quality pictures with. ...

Hey! But that's MY Christmas present!

by k1j2g3 , Jul 03 '01
Pros: small, film is extremely easy to load, takes outstanding pictures, 3 picture sizes
Cons: almost too small, no zoom
My father gave this to ME for Christmas about 18 months ago. (I will explain the emphasis on ME in a bit) All my husband and I owned was a big, clunky, super-duper camera that takes great photos, but weighs an absolute TON.

We were...

by bowesc , Dec 18 '02
Pros: Pocket sized, ease of use, choice of photo sizes.
Cons: A little spendy to develop film, no zoom on this model.
I've had my Canon Elph LT for about 2 1/2 years now and I haven't had any significant problems with it yet. I chose to purchase this particular camera because of the Elph's reputation as a pretty good camera and primarily because I wanted a camera I...

Big Pictures - Small Package

by rigged , May 14 '00
Pros: Very small with lots of features - takes great snapshots
Cons: Paying a little extra for drop-in loading and negatives that are permanently protected is hardly a con.
I was looking for a small camera that used a standard film format and had built-in flash. I was also looking for a camera that would be rugged enough to take on camping trips and had a way to protect the lens from dust and grime. My camping expeditions...

Pros: Everything about it- Lightness, 3 Picture -size Options, great quality photos
Cons: No zoom. But that's it!
Well, this was the best camera I've ever owned... until it got stolen. But that has nothing to do with my Epinion, now does it?

I purchased this camera for $89.99 last June when I was looking for a small, inexpensive *yet good at getting that...

Compact isn't always a plus. Recommended but with limits

by dhascall , Aug 20 '00
Pros: Size (for packing and weight limits), red-eye defeater, slow synch flash mode
Cons: Size (camera shake and holding), easily dropped, weak flash
Being a photo buff, I love to try new things, especially if related to 35mm photography. I've always been interested in Advanced Photographic System (APS) film and cameras but have yet to try one.

A few months ago my wife saw a Nikon APS...

Capture the moment

by hpvamp , Jan 30 '01
Pros: Small size, nice pictures, durable, inexpensive
Cons: Red eye reduction doesn't work
I've always believed in capturing the moment. (You know, that classic "Kodak moment") Sure, you can invest in a bulky camera that takes great pictures, but if it's so big that you don't take it with you, what good is it going to do?

From the...

Pros: Compact size.
Cons: AWFUL photo quality. Size may make it hard to use or to use some features.
The Canon ELPH LT seems like a tempting buy, but unless you like grainy, out-of-focus pictures, RESIST!

Cons: Because of it's size, it's hard to keep track of
COOL GADGET- Ok, Ok. So, it doesn't double as a bomb detonator, but it is a darn cool little toy. I got this for Christmas, when I was expecting something far bigger. But after the initial disappointment, it ended up being one of my favorite gifts...

Cons: no zoom, only automatic focus

Canon Elph LT
by dimar1jg ,Nov 11 '04
Pros: Very good picture quality for something so small.
Cons: The worst customer service of any company I have ever had to deal with.
We purchased this camera primarily for backpacking, and outdoor trips where weight was at a premium. We picked the Canon based on these features as well as previous experience with Canon products. After the first trip the pictures came back with excellent results for something of this size. However, prior to the second trip the camera failed to turn on, and this could not be rectified by the instructions in the manual. The camera was returned to Canon for warranty repair. We received a letter from Canon informing us that it had been received and would be fixed under warranty. Later Canon decided not to fix this and returned it to us in the unrepaired state. Both Canon and the owner agreed that the fault was not caused by the owner. While I have been happy with the results utilizing Canon products I cannot recommend this product based on a question regarding initial quality, as well as a history of horrendous customer service.

My boyfriend owns this camera...
by shopsalot_dt3000 ,Feb 06 '02
My boyfriend owns this camera and has been using for 2 years. It has defiantely held up and he usually carries it in his pocket- its that small. The only thing he wishes it had was a zoom and sometimes the quality of photos is not the best- hard to tell if we should blame the camera or our photo skills for that. We've used the timer too many times and its great.
