Pros: Blazing speeds, gorgeous colour prints, 5-ink system, 2 input trays, duplexer, quiet operation Cons: No luck with black and white photos, cheap feeling build
Last Christmas I decided I should ask for an ink jet printer, but before it went on my list, it needed to be a well researched choice. I did not want to limit myself to photos, nor did I want just a fast text printer. I also dislike the fact that ...
Pros: Great features at a reasonable price. Good paper handling. Great quality. Cons: May have a bigger footprint than you're used to.
I'd always stuck with Lexmarks until my last one died. I then switched off to an Epson, which bit the dust when I was changing Ink Cartridges. Epson politely offered my a $30 coupon. After searching their site and the web I ended up with the Canon ...
Pros: Very Quiet, Blazingly Fast Print, Prints actually look like photo’s, 5 ink tubs Cons: You have to provide your own USB 2 cable, that's a big extra cost.
I Bought One, Would I Buy Another? Yes and here's why... Recently my old HP 722c (a dinosaur, but good reliable old workhorse) printer could not keep up with the things I wanted to print and could not give me the quality I wanted. So I started to ...
I have owned or worked with almost every printer on the market and am rarely impressed with hardware. Canon however has come up with a inexpensive photo printer with features you will want and enjoy. First of all, it's fast, only 2 seconds to print a ...
Pros: Very easy to use. I really like the fact that it has 2 paper trays. Cons: Colour quality is very poor for people. It fairs better for objects.
I purchased this on referral of the store employee. He owns & was very pro Canon. He had nothing but positive remarks and it was on sale. He sold me. After having it for 2 weeks. I am going to return it as I am not satisfied with the colour quality. I reprinted the same photos that I did previously with my HP. The Canon photos were indeed sub quality to the HP. They also have lines through them that may be from the rollers. This is very obvious in pics with dark backgrounds. The skin colour is the most disappointing making faces look like they have sunburn and the eyes are very dark. NO thanks to this product I will return and perhaps buy another HP product.
Pros: looks good Cons: Large footprint, speed slower than expected, poor color.
After reading the positive reviews, I bought the Canon Pixma 5200 via Amazon.com. The interface is an older USB port (not 2.0) and it seems a bit slow. What is really disappointing is the color presented on glossy photo paper. Most of the colors are "off". My granddaughter's bright red dancing shoes appear quite dark. I've messed with the settings, which I really shouldn't have to do, with no improvement. I will replace all the color cartridges to see if that makes a difference. I've reverted to my HP 882C for all my printing, photos included. If the change of cartridges doesn't work, I will trash the Canon and look into an HP Scanner/Printer.
