Pros: Fast, quiet, built-in duplexing, separate color ink tanks, 2 paper paths, great photo quality printing Cons: Duplexing is slow, case doesn't feel very solid, doesn't come with a USB cable
Summary: Before I talk about the Canon Pixma ip4000, please let me explain what drove me to buy one. Maybe other people can relate to my experience. I have used Epson Stylus Photo printers exclusively for the last 6 years. First I used an Epson Stylus Photo ... read more

Pros: Good quality printing and super-fast Cons: Slow start-up and uses too much black ink on photos
Summary: I bought this printer primarily for photo printing and I'm quite satisfied. I love the convenience of printing photos at home that are almost as good as what I get from a photo store. And I can print 1 or 50... it's quick and easy with the included ... read more

Pros: Good Value, Paper saving features Cons: Could buy a multfunction printer for the same money
Summary: I have recently purchased the new canon Pixma ip4000, following the demise of my Epson cx3200. I decided not to buy another Epson , because all the ones I have had have been either, noisy, unreliable and prone to paper jams. The quality of the Epson ... read more

Pros: excellent print quality, good paper handling, two paper trays, light on ink, quiet Cons: large, heavy, front panel opens and drops too easily
Summary: Based on the stellar reviews this printer has received, it's almost pointless to add another one, but I maybe I can comment on some aspects that have not yet been covered. The bottom line first: this printer is absolutely amazing value for the money ... read more

Pros: Very easy setup even for wireless networks; very, very quiet; inexpensive to buy and operate. Cons: It's embarrassing, but I truly cannot find any cons after these many months.
Summary: The "R" at the end of the model number, iP4000R, is the same printer as the iP4000, but adds circuitry in the printer enabling it to be accessed wirelessly (Remotely). Otherwise the printer is identical to the model without the "R" letter. This is the ... read more

Pros: reasonable ink usage, dual paper feed, duplexing, cabinet closes up. Quality printing Cons: none so far.
Summary: I was tired of not wanting to use my Canon BJC-6000 for even simple text jobs as the ink tanks can cost. It was a very good printer but a dinosaur nonetheless. I researched and researched and finally came upon the PIXMA series printers by Canon. My ... read more

Pros: Quiet, Great Print Quality, Duplexing Cons: None
Summary: The Canon S750 that I had purchased about three years ago started having problems with the print head. Instead of replacing it out for a new one, I figured that I would just get a new printer and give the S750 to my sister. I was looking at upping the ... read more

Pros: Image quality, auto duplexing. Cons: Ink usage
Summary: I'm not going to go over everything that's already been mentioned here except to bring up something that's really stewed me in the year I've used this printer. It uses ink at a ridiculously rapid rate. I refill the cartridges myself and good thing too or

Pros: Good quality printer..good quality photos Cons: Ink cartridges are not cheap
Summary: The Canon Pixma iP4000 printer is in my opinion, one of the best on the market for overall picture use and works well for an all purpose printer. Having used this printer for a year now, it still performs without a flaw. I would say the quality of the

Pros: Excellent text and photo quality (with major exception noted). Cons: Poor quality printing in dark areas. Tech support poorly structured.
Summary: Bought this ip4000 because of the uniformly high reviews. I've been using HP inkjets for years and have been reasonably satisfied but the specs for the 4000 for the price looked unbeatable. In general, the reviews are right. But when you want to print

Pros: Quiet printing, ability to duplex, separate ink tanks, dual paper loading Cons: Size, it is bigger than expected, feels flimsy.
Summary: This is a quiet printer, after being used to the earth or rather table rattling gyrations from my previous epson and lexmark inkjets this was a surprise. On my first print from this printer, I was actually waiting for the paper to move in the loading

Pros: Fast and excellent pictures. Cons: Not compatible with older computers
Summary: This is the fourth printer I have owned and with the iP4000, I can't imagine it getting any better. It is so much quicker and my friends can't believe that I produce the photos I give them, in my home office. Canon printers are always more

Pros: Picture quality, price, ease of setup. Cons: Cartridges a bit expensive, but overall cost probably better than others with single color cartridge.
