  • OK Basic Printer From Canon

    Jan 23, 2008 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Inexpensive. Good output
Cons: Lacks individual color cartridges. No paper tray

Summary: Cheap and small is what I sought. Cheap and small is what I bought. My search for a second printer took me to the usual places: Walmart, K-Mart, BJ’s, Circuit City, and even Office Depot. The under fifty crowd are for the most part small but have a ... read more

  • CANON PIXMA IP1800 InkJet Printer, a good compact printer for price

    Jul 24, 2009 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Compact, inexpensive, performs multi-duty printing reasonably well
Cons: Printer ink expensive; does not produce photo-lab quality photo prints

Summary: My experience with the Canon Pixma IP1800 is different in some respects than other reviewers here.  I will agree that this isn't the best printer for printing photos onto photo paper, even though it is advertised as a “photo ... read more

  • For this price- Can you go wrong?

    Mar 28, 2008 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Small, VERY inexpensive, Impressive photo quality
Cons: Single color tank, kind of cheap build, a little slow

Summary: I work on a ship, and I needed an inexpensive printer to keep on board for occasional light use. When I am out here, I don't have access to the 'pro' grade equipment that I do ashore, but there are times when I want or need to print a photo, and I need ... read more

  • A great Inexpensive Printer

    Jan 23, 2008 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Quiet. Easy Set Up, Nice finish.
    Cons: None

Summary: We just bought the Canon Pixma IP 1800 printer for only $50.00. It's so much quieter than the Epson Stylus C40UX that we had. It's very stylish with a black mirror finish. Prints a lot faster than the old Epson, about 20 sheets per minute. ... read more

  • General purpose, low use printer.

    Sep 4, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Cheap, fast and produces decent color documents.
Cons: Not suitable for photo printing because of ugly composite black.

Summary: For specifications, please click on the specs already provided by Epinions (don't want to be redundant). Photo printer? NOT! Budget printers are rarely expected to print superb quality photos, but these days, even cheapo printers produce quite ... read more

  • Cheap but functional

    Nov 2, 2008 by
    Rated Show
Pros: Printing quality is above average, nice exterior design
    Cons: Noise during printing

Summary: It’s a low price but functional printer. Like its black exterior design which gave me an impression that it’s so classy. Although it’s just a normal printer, it has done a good job for me in printing photos and graphical materials such ... read more
