Pros: Excellent macro, good ergonomics Cons: none at the price
Powershot A610. The Canon 610, is one of canon’s bread and butter cameras, the $200-$300 range. It is an ideal compact for a semi professional looking for a pocketable camera to have with them at all times, with one caveat, it can’t use the same memory ...
Pros: autofocus mechanism is spectacular, photos turn out beautiful, easy to learn to use. Cons: can not zoom while filming in movie mode.
I am not ordinarily one to make such broad, sweeping statements, but I am very, VERY impressed with this camera. Here are some initial impressions: - Movie mode is great...it makes AVI files in 160, 320, or 640 resolution (4:3) with okay quality mono ...
Pros: Image quality, Options for taking photos, movie mode. Cons: Flimsy cover for outputs, needs 4 batteries, and eats them up.
This camera has been worth every penny I paid for it. I started using it right out of the box, and have loved every minute of it. This 5.0 megapixel camera has the most features for the money that I've seen for this type camera. It has a nice 4x zoom, ...
Pros: nice looking Cons: cannot sweat over capturing that great shot, nor cry over missing it
I purchased this camera with underwater case WP-DC90. I had owned the camera for only two weeks, when its LCD display stopped working. I immediately returned the camera for warranty service, but was declined on the ground that corrosion was found on the ...
Pros: Great pictures, Easy to Use, 4 times optical zoom, Ergonometic feel, has viewfinder, AA batteries. Cons: None, larger size than some other digital cameras.
Deciding on which digital camera is difficult, however if you purchase this Canon A line camera, you can't go wrong. Having tried and tested many digital camera, the decision often comes down do you want a "good looking camera" (i.e. very slim, light, ...
Pros: Great images, battery life, ergonomics, speed, price Cons: Rubber flap covering outputs a little flimsy
I'm writing to counter a negative review by someone else who was disappointed that the camera didn't work after having been dropped from "a sitting position." Well, was it dropped on CONCRETE, maybe? The truth is that all electronics like these ...
Pros: Great picture quality - Fantastic close-ups Cons: Poor quality manufacturing (at least the one I have)
I have had this camera for less than a year. I really like Canon and trust their products, however I have seemed to pick out a lemon here. I have just had this camera repaired under warranty for the 3rd time in 11 months. This camera takes great ...
Pros: Continuous movie mode, LCD monitor flips around for self made movies Cons: movie AUDIO less than perfect, Camera has too many "bells & whistles"
After 2 months of use, I have to say I like this camera a lot. As with many Canon digitals, the still images are a wee bit soft. I suspect the Canon engineers deliberately made it this way. In taking photos of people, skin tones are smooth and thus ...
Pros: 4x optical zoom, 5.3 Megapixels and NO rechargeable battery Cons: Camera is too big to fit in your pocket; you need a small carrying case.
I received this camera as an early wedding present last year and took it to a friend’s wedding the weekend before my own. The camera ended up taking better pictures then the bride's professional photographer took. The quality was much better than I ...
Pros: Ease of use, extra features, mid-sized LCD screen, moveable LCD screen Cons: Not extremely durable
I have owned a Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera for about a year now, and I take it with me everywhere. It is very easy to use for beginners, but also has some extra features that are nice for those that have some digital camera experience. The ...
Excellent Entry Level Digital Camera by rodneycubed ,Apr 30 '07
Pros: -Great Pictures
-Also does decent quality video
Cons: -Can go through batteries pretty fast
-Has a flimsy a/v cover.
After previously owning a low end Sony Cybershot, I decided to purchase a new digital camera. I looked around and read some reviews and found this particular camera to be the right choice. After using it for about a year, I am not disappointed with my purchase. Everything you would need is included with the box. If you are curious about replacing your old 35mm camera with a digital but don't want to risk too much money in the process, get this camera. You won't be disappointed.
I do have some suggestions though:
-Buy some rechargeable batteries
-Get a good battery charger (not a cheapo that you find at walmart)
-A cheap small tripod would be a good investment, you can find them online for under $5
Overall, a great camera with an excellent money/quality ratio.
Pros: 20 shooting modes, PictBridge, swivel LCD screen and uses AA batteries. Cons: Sensitive LCD screen and uses 4 AA batteries (2 is better)
I wanted a camera that wasn't too small yet not too large to hold with one hand & this camera fits the bill. It takes great shots & I'm still learning about all its features since I'm a novice, but the photos taken so far are great. I managed to drop the camera from about 3' within the first few days of use and broke it, but my credit card company has coverage for accidental damage and I will definitely be buying the exact same one again.

Pros: Easy to use. Great factory service. Cons: Not durable, at least ours isn't.
This camera will now be going to Canon for repairs, for the second time under warranty.
Canon's warranty service is excellent, but I would prefer to never need it.
Both times, the camera has lost the ability to display on the LCD what it being photographed.
This camera was received as a gift. In all fairness it is extremely easy to use and with 5.0 Megapixels delivers a clear image.
The camera lives in a case when not in use, and has not been banged around. I've been photographing for years and have working vintage film cameras, Exakta and Rollei, that are more reliable.
Too bad, because it certainly is convenient to use.
The surprising PowerShot A610 offers many features you d expect to find only on higher end models. For example, there s a 5.0MP CCD that lets you prin...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
