The "Perfect" Camera
by salbruno ,Apr 24 '06
Pros: EASY to use, understand, download pics, change settings, create "artistic" shots, timer shots, self portraits Cons: In three weeks I haven't found anything I truly don't like yet.....
I had an Olympus 4040 which served me well for years, and was disappointed when it started to fail after all that service. But my new fav camera is this Powershot 620. It is easy to use, easy to get your pictures to a computer or printer, the settings are common-sense practical and make picture taking a true pleasure. The swivel viewer gives you almost unlimited capability to take pics from any angle. It is easy to "downgrade" pics to smaller sizes, say for a birthday party, then quickly "upsize" for higher quality needs. I rarely "gush" over a product, but I'm so happy with this camera I smile every time I use it.

Great camera!
by subliminally ,Jun 22 '06
Pros: Great (and I mean GREAT) optical zoom.. very focused and easy to use. Cons: My own Canon Powershot had some technical difficulties but was repaired quickly.
This was my first digital camera, but I had seen the ones that everyone around me had and I was a little bit apprehensive as I had not seen one that took quality action shots. I was tremendously impressed with this camera's versatility, I have yet to take a blurry or unfocused picture, no matter what kind of environment I am in. Buying the long term warranty is a good idea, as I had to use mine about a month ago to fix it as it is stuck on one of the settings and won't let me take pictures anymore. It is as good as new now, and it took less than the anticipated four weeks to fix.
I highly recommend this camera if you are looking for quality.

Good All Around Camera
by aesmurf ,Jul 28 '06
Pros: Image Quality and Ease Of Use Cons: Battery Life
I purchased this camera to replace my Kodak CS and was very pleased. Very good image quality. I found the camera to be very easy to use as well. I actually didn't find any use for the instructions at all other than to recycle. I especially enjoy how easy it is to upload all my photos to my PC and laptop.

Love the thing !!!!
by miganza ,Jul 31 '06
Pros: Photo Quality just so good, although plastic body construction,it's good & rugged,Canon menus easy Cons: Just one....that silly flimsy plastic cover on the AV outlet
I bought this A620 simply because I've had Canon's before, this is my fourteenth digital camera and I've had all makes in the past,at first I was not happy with it being plastic, after previous models of mine had been mostly metal, the silly thin plastic cover on the top right hand AV outlet is a bad point and that's about it, the more I use it the better it gets, photo quality is just unequalled especially at the low purchase price,I had mine off Amazon who let me say are so reliable, maybe the A620 is a little on the heavy side with it's 4 AA batteries on board but the quality of images are worth it.....more I use it the more I love it...battery life is very good too...I never give five stars to a camera...but this one really does make me change my mind.

Good at first, but not worth it
by mynamehere1234 ,Jun 20 '08
Pros: Good battery life, good price Cons: LCD screen
At first i thought this was an amazing camera. It had a vari-angle LCD screen so I could take shots at waist level or from way above my head. It didn't use up battery fast at all, so i could go for a very long time without having to replace the batteries. At first it was an amazing camera.
The trouble started out slowly. When i was using the LCD screen it would get a little more flimsy, then a little more, and it was like that for a long time, until about a year after I bought the camera the back of the screen just fell off. Whenever i tried to move the screen it was attached so loosely to the camera body that the LCD screen would move quite a ways before the joint attaching it to the camera body would start to move.
This is not a bad camera, just don't hope to get a lot of use out of the LCD screen.
