Pros: Large 2.5" LCD screen, 6X optical zoom, full manual controls, and AA batteries
Cons: Weak flash, Some corner softness, and minor chromatic aberration (purple fringing)

Pros: Image quality, features, 6x zoom, battery life, uses 2 AA batteries, resolution, easy to use Cons: Slow flash recycle time, no image stabilization
It is difficult to go wrong with pretty much any digital camera from Canon. Canon cameras have no significant shortcomings and their A-line of compact cameras sells in huge numbers to happy customers. The A610 and A620 are a huge success with excellent ...
Pros: Good image quality for a compact digital, inexpensive, intuitive, considerable zoom range. Cons: Plastic tripod mount, ISO 800 unusable, lacks some of the capabilities of A620 model.
Introduction Still on the hunt for a compact digital camera to use as a backup for when I'm not carrying my SLR film gear, I've been able to easily dismiss the ultracompact cameras (Canon's SD series) due to their generally poor image quality, ...
Pros: Nice controls; great size; excellent focus; beautiful LCD screen; long battery life Cons: More digital noise than I expected.
I take pictures for both personal and professional use, and struggle with the need for portability versus taking the best possible pictures. The photos that I take professionally are published in magazines and are usually snapshots of people interacting ...

I recently picked up the A700 to replace my previous digital camera, an old 2.0 megapixel Fuji Finepix 4100, that I had for about 4 years. I had pretty much decided on a Canon A series, having played around with some previous years' models and heard only ...
Pros: Good image quality, colour reproduction & sharpness; movie mode; Battery life; 6x zoom Cons: Needs Image Stabilisation; Poor movie mode sound; Overblown highlights a significant problem
I have owned the A700 for many months now, and feel I now know it well enough to write a useful review for those considering it. I'd sum up this camera by saying it's probably not the BEST in any one area, but it covers all aspects at least ...

Pros: Good print quality, reasonable price, good digital zoom. Cons: No image stabilizer, bigger than some competing models.
A few years back, I bought a Fuji 2.0 megapixel digital camera. The quality was not good. Because of this, I stuck with my trusty film camera for years. I recently bit my tongue and bought this new digital camera. Overall, I am very pleased with it. ...
Pros: small for auto/manual camera, big zoom, high ISO, decent design, big lcd. Cons: Jury out on photo quality.
Jury's out for me on picture quality. I was going to get the A620, and with all the raves about it's picture quality, I'm wondering if this one stacks up. I figured picture-quality-wise, this camper would be the same or better in terms of overall quality. I picked it cuz it was a bit smaller, higher ISO ceiling, bigger zoom. But I dunno, the auto setting seesm to give fuzzy pictures more often than I would like, and the overall color quality seems a little lacking. I'm not unhappy with it, but so far not blown away. Anyone else with a similar experience?
