Pros: Price, size, image stabilization, looks, large screen, fast operation, great photos, dedicated view button Cons: Slightly blurry corners, no manual control over aperture or shutter speed
Canon is never standing still. You can count on your Canon camera to produce good pictures, but you can also count that in less than a year a new model that replaces the one you have will appear on the market. Such is the case with the new Canon SD1200 ...

Pros: intuitive menu, nice LCD, good picture quality, extremely portable, good ISO 400 images, fashionable Cons: blurry edges, minimal flash control, difficult to press buttons
This is my first purchase of a camera in the Canon Elph series, and I was a bit apprehensive about buying something that I thought was mainly a fashionable statement. It's a cute looking camera. About the size of a credit card (thicker) and the shape of ...

Pros: Ability to use HDSC cards, play button, macro photos, available in colors Cons: Auto function didn't work very well, non-adjustable wrist strap, no wow factor
After four years of using the heck out of (and LOVING) my SD600, the two batteries no longer hold charges well, so it was either $80 for two new Canon batteries (I know I can get off brands but I don't think they last as long), I decided to spend the ...

Another excellent Canon
by subslug ,Jun 07 '09
Pros: It's a Canon so what's not to like? Just point and shoot perfection. Cons: It makes all the other brands seem inferior. Smug of Canon huh?
I got this to replace my old Canon S30 which has been an amazing camera, compared to this SD1200 though is night and day. This is a fantastic little camera that's a joy to carry in your pocket. It's macro feature gets details in a photo that I can't even see with my naked eyes. It's colors are spot on in just decent lighting quality too, I haven't even gotten to all of it's features but the ones you use most are super easy to get to and it even has a totally automatic setting for absolutely perfect no-brainer pictures. It does pretty nice videos as well.

Very Happy With Canon PowerShot SD1100IS Digital ELPH
by mccoy-reviews ,Jul 06 '09
Pros: In addition to pleasing color and pictures, I LOVE the longer battery life. Cons: As with all the digitals I've experienced, the lag time for the shutter is frustrating.
I love this tiny, compact, light weight camera and the disappearing lens when the camera is turned off. Being a female, I also love the pretty metallic blue color of the body. The memory card and battery compartment is easy to access, and I really like the larger LCD screen. The macro is amazing. It's small and light-weight enough to carry in my purse and have with me all the time, which is very convenient. The telephoto range is also good for such a small camera.
