Pros: Good image & color replication, 3.2 Megapixels, Small size, Up to 15sec. exposure times, Cons: Bad metering, Must be in manual to force flash on, 3.2 Megapixels eat up memory.
First of all let me say I really like this camera. I bought it to replace my year old Elph S-300 with a 3 megapixel camera. Overall I like the performance but there are some problems that I have experienced that did not exist with the old camera....

Pros: The size of a cigarette box, Quality of Picture Cons: At times awkward, due to size
Lets face it, how many times will you actually use the high setting of 3.2MP. Very rarely I presume.
Ive had the S230 for a month now and I just got back from using it on my vacation and a few social events. From my perspective,...

Pros: Very Compact, excellent picture quality, extended movie time over S200 Cons: Poor battery life when using display, only 2X optical zoom
I picked up this camera last week at Best Buy. What a huge difference from my Kodak DC210. I have a friend who purchased a S200 last year and raved about it. When I heard the 230 was being released, I waited! Well worth the wait. It's so compact, I...

Pros: Takes up to 3 minute Movies! Manual functions, small & elegant, fast Cons: No USB 2.0, 2X Zoom
This camera can take movies up to 3 minutes long in 320x240 format and 30 seconds in high res 640x480 format with sound. Most other cameras only take 15 to 30 second movies. With a 1 GB card in it you could probably take 1/2 hour of video and put the...

Pros: - Small, lightweight
- Great battery, quick recharge
Cons: None for me
The First Camera
I first bought a 3.0 Megapixel camera from CompUSA, and spent about $200 on it. It was not a name brand, but I figured I was getting a 3.0 MP camera, for $100 less than most other brands. I'm a computer geek, and I don't...

Pros: Unbelieveably small and compact, yet a great camera. Cons: None
When shopping for digital cameras, I first purchased a Cannon G3. This camera had amazing quality, yet was very pricey. I returned this camera becasue the cost was not worth it for the quality. However I still was looking for a digital camera to take on...

Pros: Small elph size. Fine photos. Easy to use. Many, many options. Cons: Red Eye with flash.
Excellent Camera I have owned for about 6 months. Small enough for me to carry it in my brief case and use. I find battery lasts about a day in normal use and holds charge for over a month when not used much. Buy an extra. You will need a 256K...

I purchased this camera a couple months ago for general home and business use. I must say that doing all the research that I did before buying was time well spent as I am very happy with my purchase.
Here are the key features:

Pros: Small, Good quality build, Great CCD !Worth the buy ! Cons: No battery status indicator, Shutter lag ( ALL average digital cameras have it )#!%$!
As some people are aware it's the quality of the ccd that counts MORE than the Megapixel count. This is exactly the case with the Canon s230 3.2 Megapixel. Does better than my kodak 4 Mega ( Much better actually). Has alot of manual settings for this...

Pros: Battery life, ease of use, size Cons: Does not zoom in as far as most people may like
I received this digital camera as a graduation gift a few months ago. I received it early to catch some of those memorable moments on film of the preceding weeks. First of all, I was very impressed with the size. The size of this camera is perfect - ...

I bought my S230 from best buy with a free gift card i won from a Best Buy contest. This was my first digital camera and at the time I did not even own a computer. With my free $500 card, I bought the camera, and two 128mb cards.
