Horrible customer service, Never received Title Release
by kelijean ,Dec 21 '05
Pros: Low rate for used vehicle Cons: OVERALL a BIG hassle
I paid my loan in full 5 months ago. They applied my payment incorrectly and it took several weeks to get it fixed.
Never received a title release despite several calls. Now since I moved they refuse to send it to my new address!
Never again.

Worst Company I have ever Dealt With!!!!
by reese77 ,Mar 21 '07
Pros: Great rate... Cons: worst customer service ever...not worth the rate...
I paid off my Truck in October 2006 2 Years before my loan was scheduled to be paid off. I have fought with them every week asking for my lien release and title, and also my credit to show as paid. Every week they would tell me they were sending it out, and that I would get my title and that they would report at the end of the quarter. Guess what I finally got my lien release (only) the lien release I have to go pay for my title, and it was dated March 13 this year 2007. Seems like all they do is lie. I was told the last time it would be sent overnight, I told them I wanted a tracking number they gave me one..a fake one..and sent it normal mail. they still show on my credit as a 25,000 debt..and well if I call I will just get another line of bull. If you can go elsewhere, do for your own peace of mind.

Terrible when you have an issue
by joepistritto ,Jan 05 '06
Pros: None Cons: You have to do all the legwork to resolve an issue.
I cancelled the extended warranty and the refund should have been credited to my loan balance. However, CapitalOne says they've never received it. Furthermore, their customer service reps aren't willing to go any further to help than to just look whether they cashed a check for the refund amount. They won't even call the automotive company's finance arm.
Basically, over the last 4 days I've called both about 20 times and neither have been very helpful.
Before this experience I would have recommended them to a friend. However, after this I will never use them again.

Unbelievable
by goya24 ,Mar 18 '08
Pros: NONE. Cons: Total lack of customer service.
This company has a total and complete lack of customer service. I challenge anyone to find a competent individual to talk to within their organization. Please...do not even consider making an application with this company. They are incompetent, and worse, they don't care a lick about you. You will only wind up extremely frustrated.

Hard to use, support is from India, and it stinks
by rrasmussenjr ,Nov 17 '09
Pros: Sorta convenient for the seller. Cons: When you get someone from India who is clueless, the frustration really mounts.
After working the automated phone system that is only good at directing customers to their website, I finally got a human from somewhere near Mumbai. He was great with a script, but he had no clue how to help and transferred me to an native English speaker. (somewhere in North America I'm presuming from the accent) If you want to support the export of jobs through your own frustrating experience then hook up with capital one.

Capital One Auto Finance SUCKS!!!!
by dstrick7 ,Mar 21 '08
Pros: Nada Cons: don't tell you their needs, don't let to let you know if there are problems
Don't rely on the information in the "blank check" booklet...you have to be psychic to know what they really want. After having made a person-to-person transaction, I eagerly awaited the "OK" email from C.O., and after the guaranteed 1 day, nothing. So I called...the also have to have a copy of the title, registration, and a vehicle inspection report. OK, the guy I bought it from went to his credit union & asked for a copy of the title, and sent it to me, and I faxed to C.O. I heard nothing from them, so decided to call. They said there was a problem - the vehicle inspection report had no signature, date, & a statement "passed vehicle inspection". [see the trend...if there's a problem, they're not going to let you know about it...call them every few hours!!!]. Apparently, when you fax them, you're supposed to use the exact same fax sheet you had the seller fill out for the most part. I could go on, but my fingers are tired. NEVER USE CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE!!!!!
