Pros: Takes great quality photos Cons: A lot of features that weren't needed
The Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z60 is a 6 megapixel Digital camera, that looks as if it was starved since birth. This thing is skinny! It is seriously only 1 1/2 cm thick. It can fit in your back pocket, however the manual does not recommend this, seeing how ...
Pros: Sleek design, Big 2.5" LCD, picture quality, included battery and charger Cons: None, in built charger could be enhancement
Best buy opens their door for the day after thanksgiving holiday at 4:00 am in the morning for distributing coupons for "early birds". Their list of early bird had a impressive laptop for $379. One of my friends asked me if I could accompany him for an ...
Pros: THIN!!! Various picture modes, Screen size, Battery life Cons: NONE!
Appearance The Casio Exilim is a nice looking camera. The Exilim is advertised as being thin, and this is completely true. The camera is about 1 1/2 cm thick. This is nice because its almost smaller than my wallet, and I can just put the camera ...
Pros: compact, fast recycle time, filters, large LCD. Cons: Lack of auto rotate is my biggest complaint about this model.
A) no pic auto rotate feature! What gives here? How come Kodak has it, but not Casio? Even if you rotate in the camera the pics come out the original way on the PC, and you have to rotate according to EXIF... annoying! B) placement of the ...
Pros: Large viewing screen, durable, easy to navigate, size, speed Cons: Not the best photo quality for low light pictures
I bought this camera a few months back and so far have taken thousands of pictures on it. The battery charges very fast, I like the fact I don't have to mess with stupid double AA batteries anymore(another thing that made me buy this camera)! I've ...
Pros: rechargeable, the doc that comes with it, the view, the feel Cons: the shutter speed is slow.
It is quite slim and can fit in your back pocket. While it is not the size of a credit card, it is the size of a small calculator. One of the best things is that it has a rechargeable battery that will last a good day or two, with constant picture ...
Pros: great options, great pictures, everything Cons: none
So New Years Eve me and some friends get a hotel room. The next day we leave to go back home, I get home, look in my bag and realize that I left my $200 digital camera at the hotel! I call them, and they find nothing so basically I'm stuck without a ...
love the camera, but had some issues by suggsbuggs ,Nov 07 '06
Pros: Compact, huge screen, easy to navigate menu Cons: battery problems
I love the size of this camera and the huge screen. I also love the menu. It's so easy to find what you're looking for, compared to my old camera. And it fits in your pocket!
It worked great right after I got it. I went on vacation and only had to re-charge it once. But after that trip (on another one a month later) it wouldn't recognize a charged battery. It was dead every time I tried to use it, no matter when I charged it. So I had them send a new battery, and initially I had the same problem. I needed the camera and it was dead after charging it. But just as I was preparing to ship it back to be fixed, it started working just fine again, so I'm hoping it will stay that way.
I figure I just was unlucky and got a bad one, but aside from that, it's a great little camera. I must admit, though, I have no photography background, so my standards are probably low!
This camera has a beautiful and comfortable form factor and is ideal in the areas of style and size. The downside is marginal picture quality.
First off, the lens distortions is noticeable even in the view finder. One of the first pictures I took was a straight horizontal edge and it showed up with a very noticeable curve even in the viewfinder. This distortion was very noticeable in every picture that should have had a straight edge.
High ISO pictures were noisy and of low quality. Low light performance was not impressive and not much of an improvement over my 3 year old Kodak 4530. Most indoor pictures were very marginal and not impressive. Some outdoor pictures were also very marginal and not properly focused.
This is a camera where after having 40-50 prints, only 4-5 of the pictures really stood out. The rest were marginal at best but mostly disappointing.
Very durable! This camera survived a 4-5 foot drop onto a hardwood floor and barely had a dent. It still functioned perfectly! Very good build quality.
Awesome small size. It easily fit into my dress pants pocket at a wedding and was perfect for candid social photos.
Pros: Nice, small Cons: Casio won't cover common problem
Bought this camera for my daughter on Christmas. Loved the small size and great pictures. March 13 when she came home from college she told me the lens would not open, seems it is known for "lens error" according to the internet. Called Casio and sent it back with receipt etc. They tell me they can not fix it unless I pay them $134.97 or pay $7.95 to have them ship it back to me. Apparently if the lens tries to come out since it is so sensitive and if it can't (ex. in someones purse, etc.)you have a broken camera. I cannot believe they will not fix this camera, I paid $200 for this camera, I shouldn't have to pay 135. to fix it when we only had it 21/2 months. I think Ill buy a new one (not a Casio)
Pros: Slim, portable, good battery life, affordable, has zoom. Cons: You have to remove the battery to charge it(this can be annoying).
I bought this camera a couple of months ago, and let me tell you that I am pretty impressed. It's a great camera, for it takes good pictures, it has fair battery life, a large screen, and best of all, it's SLIM! To tell you the truth, I was somewhat hesitant on purchasing this camera, especially with all the other options available. But let me tell you, this camera is GOOD. You won't be disappointed. Of course, it has it's flaws(it's no $600 camera). However, this camera's pros exceeds the cons.
Skinny Camera, Great Pictures by alyssamc413 ,Apr 23 '08
Pros: Great Pictures
Thin Cons: No Video Capability
The Casion Exilim camera is an amazing piece of technology. I received it for Christmas of 2007 from my grandparents and I couldn't be happier with it. For starters, the camera itself is so thin that it could fit in my pocket. It's convenient to just slip into my purse for the next photo taking opportunity. It comes with a plug in wall charger that charges the battery. A memory card is not included. The flash works great and the pictures turn out wonderful. Shutter time is just right, not too long and not too quick. I bought mine in silver but it comes in many other colors. The battery lasts long. Personally I was nervous to buy a Casio because it wasn't a Kodak or a Canon, but I am extremely pleased with everything about this camera.
Even the most novice photographer can take great pictures with this camera. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and easy to navigate through the menus. The "Best Shot" feature allows you to select the perfect settings for your shot with one touch. Great big display screen is nice too. Marvelous.
Pros: small, great shooting modes, superb video, clear optical and digital zoom, uses SD card Cons: no eyepiece, lithium ion batteries are expensive, only 3x optical
I just purchased this camera today. I had a Fuji A210 before this so it was time to get something new. I am in the army and leaving for Iraq in about 2 months and i wanted something smaller and more durable. I went with the Exilim because it was exactly that smaller and seems to be built very well, the only thing i can see having a problem with is the possibility of the LCD cracking. Ive never owned a Casio before and haven't heard much about there cameras but I haven't been able to put it down since I charged the battery. I believe this is a great camera for the money and would recommend it to anyone who wants a really sleek, very functional camera with great ease of use and very helpful shooting modes. I cant wait to take some great pictures of the big old sandbox with it later this year. I only wish it could have a 4 or 5 times zoom in this size....guess that will come in a few more years.
Pros: compact size, price, SD compatibility Cons: Menu is Anti-user, Grainy photos, battery charger is separate unit, not integrated.
I still have my old Sony CDmavica 2.1MP beefcake of a camera, and honestly, I'd rather use that.
I purchased the Casio Z60 for its compact size and better resolution. HOWEVER, it seems the pictures are grainy, especially in low light. BestShot isn't anything impressive, and the operating menu is borderline user friendly. Sony's menu is flawless with easy navigation. The Sony's picture is always clearer, even at 1/3 the MP rating.
