Pros: a great castlevania game, new tag team features Cons: it still uses the same formula from the past Castlevania games.
I pre order Castlevania Portrait of Ruin in order to get the Castlevania bonus pack from GameStop which includes a soundtrack Cd and a stylus. After playing through the game and beating it how does it stick up to past Castlevania games read on to find ...
Pros: New adventure, huge map, new skills, new stuff... All presented with plenty of style. Cons: Still no Ayami Kojima artwork. Boo.
Do you retro? It's easier to name the systems that a Castlevania title hasn't appeared on than all the others that have been graced with a visit from the Belmont clan. From humble beginnings as a clumsy action platformers to Zelda 2 style ...
Pros: As good as Symphony of the night, adding a second playable character to the mix. Cons: Leveling (and gameplay) to get stronger may get repetitive.
Background Upon getting a DS, I have gotten several games for it already, and the latest purchase I have made has been one of the most satisfying games I have played to date, a return to the good old days where games were complete and total bliss ...
Pros: Great design, Great Music, Great graphics, challenge, variety. Cons: Pretty much identical to the past 5 Castlevania games (is that bad?)
The Castlevania series has been around since the days of the NES, and has seen all manner of different forms. From its origins as a side scrolling 2D action game to the promising yet lackluster 3D versions on the N64 and PS2, there's one clear turning ...
Pros: Great game play from start to finish. Cons: Use of the stylus would of been nice.
Another great Castlevania title I enjoyed every minute of this game. Go pick this up if you haven't already. Its a must for any fan of the series and for someone just looking for a great game to play.
Pretty generic in gameplay, rather disappointing graphics by hbj200 - Top 1000,Mar 21 '07
Pros: Same old familiar gameplay Cons: Same old graphics, very generic storyline, deja vu for $30
CPR, as this game has come to be known, is, frankly speaking, a generic game in the Castlevania series. I'm glad I played it as a rental instead of shelling out $30 of good money for it. The storyline is both nondescript and nonexistent, and the game plays straightforwardly. The graphics, like other Castlevania games, is rather poor, little improved over the old GBA versions. Overall it makes a worthwhile play for hardcore Castlevania fans -- but doesn't hold enough appeal for most other gamers.
