Pros: Fairly affordable, natural, can be flushed, not harmful to pets who may eat their litter.
Cons: No odor control, disintigrates, pets may not like texture, needs to be changed very often.

Pros: Saves money, lasts longer and no smell with daily, multiple cleaning.
Cons: I don't see any "cons", unless it's the time it takes to do this process.
