Pros: There's still a good plot Cons: Unfortunately, it's mired in too much philosophy
I've been reading Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth books for a little over three years or so. I've always considered the series to be an excellent read and enjoyed the fact that the plots were very character driven. This was not a typical fantasy that ...
Pros: Pretty colors on the dust jacket Cons: Much too long for a book that goes nowhere
Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed Terry Goodkind's first few novels - Wizard's First Rule got me hooked on the story of Richard and Kahlan, and I have doggedly read every book since then. But, the last couple, and this one in ...
Pros: Tremendous action and questions posed keep the story running faster than ever Cons: My eyes couldn't keep up with my intent

The whole series has me waiting for the paperback copy of "Phantom" (hopefully I'll get it for Christmas!) and then the next volume.
It's almost like having to say goodbye to a friend when you know they will be leaving (but not RIGHT away, you just know the day will be coming and it will be too soon no matter how far in the future it may be), this ending of the series.
With Wizard s First Rule and seven subsequent masterpieces, Terry Goodkind has thrilled readers worldwide with the unique sweep of his storytelling. N...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
