I Did Feel Misery

by MadelineH1 , May 20 '00
Pros: they have TRIPLETS!
Cons: bland, uninspired
I bought this CD because I thought it would be fun to hear a rock and roll group of a younger age bracket. However, what I heard was a group of boys lacking in the artistic maturity that bands like Hanson possess. This is a CD that you feel you may be...

Great Depth!!!

by kello51 , Apr 23 '00
Pros: Great song depth - All of the songs are good.
Cons: -
Unlike many pop groups out there today that release albums with only one or two good songs on them, The Moffatts have released a gorgeous one. The first time that I listened to their album, I was amazed - I really enjoyed every song of theirs. I didn't...

Love or hate that is the ?

by Jessy203 , Nov 14 '99
Pros: Good intentions and Lryical content
Cons: Big lack of exictment and orginality
The Moffatts have made a smooth yet subtle switch from country to rock pop. Overall the album was good, but not the organitly that should be expected of a semi-new group to the pop genre. The song "Until You Loved Me" has a catchy beat, but...

Pretty good.

by crazyjay95 , Nov 24 '99
Pros: Not just another boyband
Cons: Aims towards the teens. Parents will go crazy listening to "Misery" over and over again.
This album by the Moffatts is fairly good. At the time of buying it I was way into Hanson. The two bands are similar in some ways, but different in many others. I love the music that the Moffatts write. They have much more talent than other boybands....

The Moffatts, The Best!

by daves_sweetheart , Oct 16 '99
Pros: The Best!
Cons: The Best!
Chapter 1: A New Beginning is one of the best! Just ask The Moffatts, the latest boy band to enter the pop-music records race. They know all about change.
Four years ago, before they hit the teen-age years when change comes full-force in the form...

The best CD i own

by darienblue , Jan 28 '03
Pros: Beautiful heartfelt music played by Canadian teenage brothers with real talent
Cons: if you dont like pop music, you probably wont like all the songs on here
People usually associate The Moffatts with country or Hanson. Well they are neither. Not anymore! After picking up a few instruments these teenage brothers have changed their sound to 'edgy pop'.

This album, released in 1998, is the Moffatts...

Not Just Another Boy Band

by angel_gurly , Nov 09 '00
Pros: Great Music
Cons: None
The Moffatts are a kick ass group from Canada!! They may be considered a boy band but that's not the story. Yes sure the group may be made up of just guys but don't you notice that boy bands don't play their own instrument?? Well as you probably know The...

Chapter 1: A New Beginning

by trumpetchik84 , Dec 25 '99
Pros: It has a vast collection of different styles of music, between rock, country, slow love, etc. The songs also have very deep meanings if you listen to them. The US Album also has a computer program that shows the video of "Until You Loved Me" and
Cons: The slow love songs get a little too slow, sadly. If you are into this kinda thing, then it's just for you. But they get a little long and slow after a while.
I think this album is one of the best I have ever heard. I first purchased it because the Moffatts were coming to my town and I thought I'd get to know the music before they came. I listened to it and decided that this album was for me. They came to my...

These Guys Rock!

by MusicChica , Dec 19 '99
Pros: fresh pop/rock sound, something for everyone!
Cons: some people may not like some songs on the album.
Hey. I want to tell you that The Moffatts: Chapter 1 A New Beginning is probably the best album i have ever heard. These 4 guys from British Columbia, Canada, have been singing together for 12 years. They play all their own instruments, and write or...
