  • Sleep Peacefully With A Cooling Chillow In Your Pillow (as seen on Oprah show)

    Jan 10, 2004 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Alleviates sleep difficulties during those hot, miserable nights; relieves headaches, back pain, etc.
Cons: Just a couple. Please see review.

Summary: Intrigued is the word I used when I first heard of the Chillow cooling device on the Oprah show a while back. While I am not yet at the point of menopause, I do occasionally get the dreaded "night sweats". I wake up in the middle of the night, ... read more

    Pros: Can't think of any.
Cons: Ineffective and wets the bed.

Summary: I received the Chillow as a Christmas gift. I would rate this as zero stars but that is not an option. I am completely disappointed in this product and feel that it was totally misrepresented in the TV commercials. Not once does it mention that it must ... read more

  • Chillow-Doesn't Stand Up

    Jun 18, 2013 by
    Not yet rated.
Pros: The technology does seem to work but not for any length of time.
Cons: The Chillow is only cool for about 10 minutes.

Summary: When I first recieved the Chillow it seemed like a good product, the directions were easy to understand. However, if you put too much water inside, when you try and squeeze the air out, all that comes out is water. The cap is also a poor design, it does ... read more

  • Chillow leaks - buyer beware

    Jul 29, 2012 by
    Not yet rated.
Pros: Feels good to sleep on a cool pillow. It stays cool but not all night.
Cons: The leaks will wake you up very rudely in the middle of the night.

Summary: When I first got a Chillow, and when I bought the second one, it worked fine. Eventually, your head and neck warm up the water and it loses its cool. But when you roll over, the new contact area is cool. But after a few months the plastic cracks, and not ... read more

  • Chillow Pillow is my friend

    Oct 19, 2007 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: It truly works. Stays cool. Low maintenance. Worth it!
Cons: After 2 years, seam leaked slightly, canvas tent patch glue fixed it.

Summary: I purchased the Chillow at a Science Discovery store for my husband because he is always complaining he is hot. He didn't use it because he said he wasn't into "gimmeks." I decided to give it a try. At first I put it inside my pillow case, but it was too ... read more

  • The Chillow Pillow - Keeps your Pillow Cool

    Sep 25, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Simple technology that works. Using only water you can keep your pillow Cool all night
Cons: Your pillow is only as cool as room temperature. Not very effective in hot temperatures.

Summary: Make no mistake, the Chillow (or "Chillow Pillow", as I affectionately call it) does what it says, it gives you that "cool pillow" feeling all night long. But this is no magic piece of technology, nor does it use a mini air conditioner inside of it, it ... read more

  • The Chillow is an awesome product

    Jun 8, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Comfort, instant cooling
    Cons: Nothing

Summary: I've recommended the Chillow to a lot of people. I've had mine for two years and I haven't had any trouble with leakage. I prefer sleeping in a cold room but during the hot summer, that is almost impossible. The Chillow, inside my pillowcase, gives me ... read more

    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: It does actually stay cool
Cons: bunches too easily, hassle to get the air out of it

Summary: My husband is quite the hot sleeper. I found out about the Chillow online. It's a product that you can put inside your pillow or use directly on your skin to keep cool. You put water inside of it, and there is some sort of special material inside that ... read more

  • Pretty Good So Far

    Feb 2, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Comfortably cool. Easy set-up.
Cons: You do lose the cushy soft feeling of your own pillow.

Summary: After suffering (and I DO mean "suffering!") with night sweats and hot flashes, I decided to try out the Chillow. I read about it on a message board for menopausal women and was fortunate to find it on sale at a local store. I've used it just once so ... read more

  • You're better off just turning your pillow over!

    Jan 21, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Nice idea...in theory
Cons: Time-consuming, complicated & messy set-up procedures, very high maintenance, heavy, bunches up, eventually leaks

Summary: In their advertising, they make it sound like turning your pillow over looking for the cool spot is a big chore...well, not near as much of a chore as setting up and maintaining one of these babies! I expected something that would be easy to use and ... read more

    Jul 5, 2004 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Easy to set up/use, does what it claims to do, works for almost anyone
Cons: Relatively heavy when filled, doesn't pull moisture (i.e. sweat) away like a regular pillow

Summary: I first saw the Chillow advertised in a catalog and thought, "Wow! What a fantastic idea!" I told my husband I wanted it for Mothers Day so he shopped around for it but, low and behold, could not find it anywhere. Thankfully we didn't order it from the ... read more

    Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: Baffle bunches up and is a pain to straighten.

    Pros: The price.
Cons: Cheaply made.  Slips off pillow.  Algea problem.

Summary: Do not waste your time in buying one of these things, it's a waste of money and time.  It is like a water bed with a baffle in it on thinner.  If you put it inside your pilow case it will slip and end up in a heap under your neck.  If you ... read more
