Fantastic!
by onejacket ,Oct 18 '04
Pros: Clean, cosy and close to the metro. Cons: Cosy.
We just spent three nights in Paris and enjoyed our stay at the Chomel Hotel. It is close (around the corner) from the Sevres-Babylone Metro station and the Bon Marche shopping center. The double room (E110 per night on venere.com) was clean and cosy - not roomy. Our room (#22) had a balcony. We didn't hear any of our neighbors through the walls. Breakfast was available for E10 but we went elsewhere. In the lobby, they have a computer with free internet access to check hotmail, etc or surf, or upload flash memory cards for sending pictures home. The lift is small but great for a suitcase or two. Desk staff is there 24h / day and they lock the front door at night - they let you in when they see you.

Pros: Great central location, Very clean room. Cons: I don't think they have breakfast, but you can get a croissant nearby.
This is a great hotel to stay in Paris. We go to Paris frequently on our own minimal budget and this hotel fits the bill. It is a three star, but compared to other three star hotels in Paris where we have stayed, it's nice. Very clean rooms, great central location, We've gotten 75 or 80 euro per night prices for a double room for me and my husband. Usually other hotels in the same price range are outside the main parts of town and you spend all day in the subway getting to and from central Paris.
