Clarion SRS1324 Car Component System

Pros: Good midrange. Modest depth requirements for tight spaces.
Cons: Highs too hot. Lows leave something to be desired.

I bought these to fit in my Honda S2000 door cut outs. They fit in the conservative space with without problems and wiring was straightforward. Driven by an Alpine MRP-F200 amp (40 per channel) the Clarions produced sizzling highs requiring reduction in Treble drive from the head unit. The midrange is good though there is an empty space in lows between where Clarions drop off and subwoofer (10" in trunk) picks up. I paid $150 for these and sort of wished I had shopped around rather than listen to the salesperson. These are okay but I am looking around the Infinity and Alpine offerings now for a replacement.
