Pros: These clubs give me confidence and help me avoid the big banana Cons: Old school clubs, but that suits me fine
I've had the King Cobra Offset Woods in my bag for several years and every time I hear about a hot new miracle fairway wood that is touted to cure all your problems, I'm tempted to see what the hype is all about. Although I have demoed some of ...
Pros: Long and straight, a great combination Cons: Maybe too large a head for some
One of the neat things about the new Cobra line of Drivers is that all of the pertinent information (head size, coefficient of restitution, square centimeters of the face size) is right there on the sole of the club for all to see. There is nothing...
Pros: Reduces my slice, goes a long way, relatively inexpensive. Cons: Smallish club head.
My birthday just passed on August 14th (I await the millions...and millions of well wishers in the comments section), and as my birthday present, my father, being the great and fair man that he is, got me a driver to help my stupendously bad golf game....
Pros: deadly accurate, very versital Cons: not as long as others
The cobra offset driver are a dream for anyone who tries to play a draw, but ends up hitting it streight. Or for those who constantly fade. The shaft is only 44 inches so it is much easier to control. The offset head is good for corecting slices. It's...
Pros: Cure fades/slices Cons: Lose a little distance
I purchased the 9.5 degree driver and the 16 degree fairway wood at the beginning of the 1998 golf season. At that time I was a 12 handicap at my club and was missing 70% of the fairways off the tee. My fairway woods were erratic as well. By the next...
Pros: The best woods you will find Cons: A little expensive
What can I really say about these woods. Doesn't the name say it all? This is just another example of why King Cobra is one of the best golf club manufacturers in the world.
I had a chance to hit with these woods a couple of weeks ago. Words just...
Pros: light, easy to control, powerful Cons: a bit expensive but well worth it
I had been playing golf for about 3 years and like most weekend hackers of the golf game I struggled a lot with the driver. I did not slice with my irons but my driving was a nightmare. I started with a cheap Wilson driver that I bought at a Big Five...
Pros: This club changed my game...!! Cons: Thee are none..!
The King Cobra Offset Driver has made the game exciting for me again! I am a lefty with a read bad slice...I played golf at the Marine Corps. Base in California with a set of rental clubs that had a King Cobra for the driver. I noticed right away that...
2004 Cobra 400SZ Offset by koopatroopa ,Oct 31 '04
Pros: Nice sweetspot, very solid feel, helps to cure slicing Cons: None
It is surprising how many members at my course have switched to the new Cobra drivers (offset or regular). At our pro shop, the Cobras are easily the best seller according to our pro.
As someone who fights a fade and even a slice from the tee, the offset had appeal and it has certainly delivered. Without exaggerated wrist action, slices have disappeared. If I swing too hard I might still push or fade but I do not slice. The contact of the club on the ball is very solid and mis-hits (unless I hit ground first) are very rare. My swing is too inconsistent to make an accurate distance assessment but my drives are going much straighter and, with solid contact, that adds up to farther in that I am closer to the hole. I do not feel the need to swing hard and that has helped too.
I ordered the club with the red Adila graphite shaft rather than the stock blue one. That meant a wait of ten days but the extra whip in the shaft was worth it. The cost was the same.
