Cons: a lot of false alerts if you don't set it correctly

I have had a few radar detectors in the past and this is by far the best one I have ever owned. I think talk is cheap but the proof is in the pudding.

2 days ago I was on my way home from work and some knucklehead blew by me at about 105 mph. I got in the left lane and started following him at a slight distance. He thought I was tailgating him and probably got up to about 115 mph. All of the sudden my 9930 started giving me slow x band signals and I hit the brakes.

Low and behold there was a cloud of dust in front of me caused by the state trooper that nailed him.

I flashed the trooper to let him in front of me for his pursuit. I continued to cruise home peacefully at 80 mph and drove by the knucklehead in the process of losing his license!

Pros: Bright graphics are nice. Range is decent. Battery voltage display is useful
Cons: The filter is the downfall. It picks up many false readings.

Well this radar detector is pretty good for the price. But a cop doesn't need a radar to tell your speeding when your going a 100 mph in a 35 mph speed zone. But its a good product to keep you on alert. I’m not going to say this product is inefficient because it isn't. It has saved me from plenty of tickets in the CITY.
Over all, this product is pretty good.

Pros: clear bright screen and voice alerts, nice menus, battery voltage indicator, digital compass, customizable colors
Cons: works only from charger, wished it was cordless.

I used 2 cobra detectors before and this is by far the best one. I liked the digital compass (you need to calibrate it first by driving 2 circles) the voice alert which is a sexy woman voice and whenever I band is detected she says the name "K band" and you hear the beeping. its got a clear bright display with very clear fonts and the menu displays on the screen which lets you choose your option, it has pictures and words for every menu, and is very easily accessible. when the unit is turned on, the voice says "system on" and it even shows your battery voltage and warns if it drops too low.
