Pros: Easy to use as your plug in one at home Cons: Too big and heavy for backpacking (not really a problem)

Yummy rubber garden hose coffee
by robertseakykr ,Jul 29 '07
Pros: Looks good. Cons: Works bad.
We purchased this unit for our camping trip this summer. We had high expectations because it is a Coleman product and the $60.00 price tag. This cost more than our kitchen unit. The first pot we brewed tasted like burnt plastic, so we threw it out and tried again thinking we had the heat too high. Nope, the second and third tries were no better and undrinkable, in our opinion. No matter what we tried, we couldn't get it to produce a decent pot of coffee. Everything came out with the same plastic, garden hose taste. We returned ours to the store we purchased it at and will be buying a cheap percolator to replace it with. Very disappointed.
