Pros: Portable, even heat control Cons: Hard to clean
Before we moved out west we had a large classy grill and a two barrel smoker. We left those behind with our children. We did take our Bradley Smoker with us, but sometimes it just seems right ...

Pros: Small, (2) 10,000 BTU burners, easy to move, nice grilled flavor, side tables Cons: Grates hard to clean, limited area exposed to flame
Previously, Ive only owned those little cheap charcoal grills but I decided to take on a new path and try gas. I was searching for a simple, small but good quality grill that I can store in the garage. I compared the Roadtrip to the Weber Q & Baby Q ...
Pros: Two Powerful burners. Slide Out work tables. Folds into cart with wheels. Cons: None.
I spent hours researching portable gas grills looking for good heat, features, ease of use, and portability. Then I gave my wife the link and told her that's what I wanted for Christmas. Good wife that she was, she ordered it for me. Wow! Coleman did a ...
Pros: folds down, wheels, cooks evenly, easy to light Cons: shallow lid, plastic wheels, heavy
The Coleman Roadtrip LXE Grill is a nice "portable" sized propane grill that can fold down to a compact size with wheels and a pull handle. The grill comes with an adapter for 16.4 oz propane bottles but an adapter is available to be purchased ...
Pros: Quality product, sharp looking, easy to assemble. Cons: Not a barbeque grill. Meat tasted fried not grilled with no smoky deep cooked flavor.
For those of you looking for the typical grill with charcoal below and a closeable lid for that great smoky barbeque taste, think twice about the Coleman LXE. Our old grill was a gas grill with a layer of charcoal briquettes between the gas jets and the ...
Pros: Setup is a snap, cooks well, heats up fast, nice grates Cons: Not very portable, cannot cook with lid down, grill falls apart when you roll it.
I recently purchased the Coleman RoadTrip LXE grill for tailgating at football games. Overall it's got lots of power and cooks very well but it has it's drawbacks. The good: The grill is very easy to set up. It came almost fully assembled and ...
Pros: Price, convenience, big enough for a home grill, small enough for a portable grill. Cons: Gets very hot, food will stick if not careful, can't cook with lid down.
I bought this grill for camping and for home use. We went through many portable gas grills and also several large grills. I felt the Coleman Roadtrip LXE would be the perfect answer. I bought it for my husband for Father's Day but had to give it to ...
Pros: Heats up fast. Easy to clean and to store. Quality components. Cons: The hose adapter should be standard equipment.
Like the other reviewer I highly recommend this grill. Here's a few corrections and notes: 1. You can cook with the lid down as it is porcelain coated and there are vents in the rear. 2. Food does stick if you don't use a cooking spray. Pam makes a ...
I'm a charcoal grill person myself, but there are times when I could use a gas grill. Portablility and storage are major issues for me, so I was really impressed when I saw this grill in action last year. I read the reviews of the other portalbe ...
Pros: small compact size, can take with you, cleans easily Cons: none
So when I got engaged and my parents got me a grill for Christmas I knew that they had him in mind. I am so glad however that they did because I absolutely love this grill. We live in an apartment with a small back deck and this grill is perfect for us. ...
Pros: Light weight and very portable
Big enough to BBQ for 4 people
Cons: Could be couple of inches taller
I have had my RoadTrip grill for over a year now and find it to be an excellent portable grill
I bought my grill to use for camping and to use for BBQ at home. Works very well for both. I also ordered the optional griddle and burners which work nicely.
I always use external propane tank with the grill and I do grill with the lid closed.
For camping I beefed-up the wheels by adding stronger wells and solid axle
My only complaint is the main grill sticks and is tough to clean. The large center area right over the burners slick so try and keep the heat down.
More like a bastardized camp stove than an actual BBQ grill by sdgrossman1 ,Sep 06 '07
Pros: Looks nice out of the box Cons: Poor design from every angle!
Wanted a grill that I could use both in our back yard, as well as for camping.
Unfortunately, the scene where I knocked into the display model and sent it flying in the store should have had a bit of foreshadowing for me.
You can't really call it a grill, since you cook on flat enameled plates. Looks like they took a Coleman camp stove and tried to make a grill out of it.
The grill is bulky, and even broken down, is hard to transport. When rolling it, the button holding the handle (leg) may pop.
After two uses, the plastic holding the locking latch melted away, leaving me no way to roll the thing without having the top flap open and the grates falling out.
Cooking with the top down causes plastic parts to melt.
Once you use it a few times, that nice, shiny red paint gets dark, and that shiny chrome interior is toast. BTW... don't bother trying to clean the inside...
Not pleased with the RoadTrip LXE by oinkbot ,Sep 09 '05
Pros: Easy to operate. Cooks well. Heats up fast. Cons: Flimsy plastic handle. A bit rickety unless on a smooth flat surface.
I bought this grill the other day and used it for the first time last night at the NFL kickoff in Foxboro. When I went to unfold it to stand it up, the flimsy plastic handle, that also doubles as one of the feet, broke off. I was not in a situation to just not use it so I took out the broken piece from the leg and inserted the broken off part back into the leg and used some soda bottles to make it level. I contacted Coleman but have not heard back from them yet.
