EVO n600c gets the job done without the fluff!
by michaelagreen ,Sep 22 '06
Pros: Small, semi-lightweight, work horse Cons: Battery can get very hot and fan isn't sufficient
Received a Compaq EVO N600c from my company and liked it so much, that I looked online and bought 4 for all of my family members. The system is truly great and sleek, all of the buttons and plugs are in the rear (Except USB, modem, CAT5) which makes it really clean when plugging it into a hotel or a foreign outlet. I really enjoy it because of the touchpad and mouse nub in the middle of the keyboard. 1 of the computers crashes a few times, but I am going to blame that on Windows XP and not the computer.

Workhorse, tough and fast. Great deal also
by danluttrell ,Jan 23 '04
Pros: hotswap drive, dvd/cdrw, mousepointer and touchpad both. multiple usb ports. Good battery life. Cons: black in color, gets warm near fan on bottom after extended time use.
I have had an Evo N600c since October of 2002. It is great. Mine features the mouse pointer and the touchpad. Along with dvd reader and cdrw combo drive as well as the 512 mb of ram in mine it is a great multimedia machine. This laptop will also allow you to hotswap drives from the dvd/cdrw to say the floppy drive or whatever. The screen is good size and bright. The battery lasts for hours and has held up well over the past couple years. I would recommend it to anyone, especially for the current prices I've seen lately.
