Compass S310 Stroller unsafe for baby

by mclinsey , Jun 29 '05
Pros: Soft padded seat, reversible handle; large basket
Cons: folded in half while tipping back to go down step with baby in it
I received this stroller yesterday. It was easy to put together; had to put tires on, push down foot rest, put on snack tray (tray has one button on each side that needs to pressed to be inserted and released) and slipped on cup holder. I did not like ...

Seems to have everything, needs improvement

by grdabutter , Jul 09 '06
Pros: Reversible handle. Almost fully reclines. Parent and child cup holders. Attractive. Reasonable price.
Cons: Difficult to fold, hard to steer, unusable basket, quirky problems.
We couldn't figure out how to fold this until I found a review online talking about how the fully reclined position is not actually fully reclined (due to the fabric being too tight). When we pulled the seat back further (and the wheels were in exactly ...

Move Over Peg Perego Venezia...There's a new kid in Town!

by strollerlady , Apr 30 '07
Pros: - Ample Basket Room - Large Cupholder - Beautifully padded Seat - 5 pt harness
Cons: - Adjusting the wheels to switch from Forward to Rear facing is tricky.
I recently bought this stroller and matching carseat (Separately) and I am happy to report that I was pleasently surprised. The stroller is quite simple to put together, you just pop in 4 large, identical sets of wheels. Upon first inspection the ...

Compass S310 Stroller won't fold and latch

by newmomt , Jan 04 '06
Pros: Decent customer service, excellent fabric/construction, full padding, carriage option, sturdy rubber wheels.
Cons: Would not close or latch properly, folded 'down' so front tray scraped the ground
I was excited to get the Compass Stroller (that matched the Compass Infant car seat we had ordered), but was disappointed when I had to send the whole system back because the stroller couldn't fold completely and wouldn't even come close to latching. In ...

The stroller collapsed while in motion and our baby in the car seat fell out!

by lwinnie , Oct 24 '06
Pros: The canopy is big & has good coverage
Cons: Collapses easily, even on flat surface. Bulky & heavy.
We purchased the Compass S310 stroller at Baby Depot along with its Infant Car Seat companion for our newborn daughter in April 2006 for $199.00 for the whole set. The stroller was bulky & hard to get the latch to lock when folded. I literally had to ...

DO NOT BUY THIS STROLLER

by cadeandrysmom , Oct 02 '06
Pros: Looks great, nice options, reversible handle to look at baby.
Cons: Opening and closing is a headache, basket is hard to access, not made well.
While the stroller looks great it does not work so well. I bought this due to the fact it looks very nice, has the reversible handle so you can see your baby and was a good price for the features. Too bad it does not operate as promised. Trying to ...

Compass stroller is a great inexpensive stroller
by murpee ,Feb 27 '07
Pros: The handle reverses making it in to a carriage!
Cons: The stroller doesn't fold up and fit easily into compact spaces.
This Compass stroller is fun, comfy, and economical. Compared to true carriages, this stroller is a bargain! This stroller is even better than a carriage because its a carriage and a stroller. The handle reverses to make the stroller a carriage. Its fun to have a stroller/carriage in one. Not to mention, having both in one design saves space and money. The wheels are little big and it doesn't fold down compactly. I tested several strollers. I compared the wheel size and tested how compactly they all folded down. The fold down size of this stroller didn't seem to be any bulkier than any of the other strollers. I love this stroller and so does my 8 month old baby.

Great Stroller!
by angeljoy78 ,Dec 02 '05
Pros: Sturdy, rubber wheels, Reversible handle, Price
Cons: None!
I wanted to write a review because i don't think the reviews here are giving the stroller justice. I was so excited to find a stroller with everything i wanted - reversible handle, 4 sets of double, swiveling, rubber wheels and i good price. I have used it without any trouble. About the review that went down a step and it closed, i went down a total of 2 steps to get onto the sidewalk and it was perfectly fine, and the baby in it weighed about 22 pounds. It is sturdy and i feel that the baby is very safe. I don't know why my experience is so different than these other two. Also, i found it for $69 with shipping of $12 at baby-outfitters.com!!
I love this stroller and cant wait to use it more in the spring.

Compass stroller not a smooth ride for baby
by mombeck99 ,Aug 05 '05
Pros: Thick, soft seat padding, generous sun canopy, reversible handle for a true carriage
Cons: Unsafe ride with wobbly wheels, difficult to access storage basket with zipper pouch at front
I was thrilled to find an affordable stroller with a handlebar that reverses to make a true carriage. Assembly was easy, just pop in the wheels. The padding is thick and soft, great 5-point harness, and nice canopy for shade. Now, on for the road test. I strapped in my 3 month old baby and walked along the paved road only to find that any tiny pebble or crack in the road caused the wheels to wobble shaking the stroller with my baby violently. My baby's eyes pleaded with me to stop as I tried to continue. I have notified the manufacture but am still waiting for my new, hopefully improved, wheels to arrive so the stroller sits unused in the garage. I certainly hope that any strollers still being sold have improved wheels or the ride will be anything but smooth.
