Pros: Test drive a perm or just go curly when you want. Cons: It may take a few times to master the hand movements.
If you want to try out the perm curly look without going permanent in the frizz department or if you just like a different look from time to time, then Conair Hot Sticks will let you play around without setting you back big bucks or locking you in a style ...
Pros: easy to use, you can achieve cute and stylish hairstyles Cons: not enough curlers/sticks
MOMMY I WANT CURLY HAIR LIKE YOU
Much to my daughter’s dismay, she did not inherit Mommy’s naturally curly hair. Instead, like her Aunt, she has thin, very straight hair. Ever since she could hold a brush, she has brushed and played...
Pros: You can have a variety of fun curly looks. Cons: Can pull hair, and burn fingers and scalp.
I have been using Conair Hot Sticks forever, my mother used to put them in my hair when I was little to give me a quick, bouncy curl and I still use them today for the same reason. You can get a similar look with a ½ in" curling iron, but it takes a lot ...
Pros: None, don't waste your time or money! Cons: There isn't enough space here to cover them all.
Ok, I normally adore Conair products. Every styling tool I have is Conair. However, this is one product I wish I had never wasted my money on!! First word of caution--- NEVER buy anything that heats up and then has no where for you to hold on to ...
Pros: I can't really think of any Cons: burns your fingers, pulls out hair
Having grown up with poker straight hair, I have always had to curl my hair. My mother bought me theses hot sticks when I was in high school and was anxious to try them on me. We plugged in the case that they sit in and waited for them to heat up. After...
Pros: Tight or loose curls.
Heats fairly quick. Cons: Sticks get very hot.
Some tangling when unwrapping.
I bought these curlers because I have long hair and do not have the time or patience to use a normal curling iron all the time. The curlers come in a handy case and heat up fairly quick. The two size sticks make loose curls or tight spirals easy to...
Pros: They Give Your Hair Nice Curls Cons: They Tangle/Burn OUCH!
My mom bought these home for me because I wanted to curl my hair for prom. I decided to try them out and see what results I'd get when using them. They heated up very quickly which was a good thing...but hurtful! These curlers can get extremely hot so...
Pros: Easy to follow directions, user-friendly,very practical to take along on travel Cons: Not enough sticks for long hair, sticks do have a tendency to get HOT
I just purchased this last night and not only was it quick and easy to use; but, my hair actually curled. I have long hair with tons of layers throughout; at first it was a challenge to get the layers rolled onto the stick. However, within moments I...
Pros: You get curls Cons: Pulls hair, burns fingers, lot of time consuming
When I bought this a month ago, i was excited about having long spiral curls. Well this failed me on a night of when I was going to a formal! Well the curls came on with dry hair instead of damp. You need more curlers than is in one box. It pulled...
Pros: I have long, straight hair and Hot Sticks gives me tight curls that last. Cons: Rubber on curlers crack after time. Small pink curlers are too small to be useful.
I have used my Hot Sticks for several years and they have been very useful creating period hair styles for theater. They do tend to get caught in my hair and pull when removed. They are also very hot and I have been burned more than once when using...
Pros: They give you root to tip curls. They are fairly inexpensive. Cons: There are not enought rollers
I have always had really straight and super thick hair which is hard to curl because everything i have tried either didn't get hot enought to hold the curl or it made me look like a 50's pin up model with all the curl at the bottom. I was almost ready to ...
Pros: They are easy and your hair curls fast. The curls last a long time. Cons: Conair always discontinues the product for awhile, then bring them back. There aren't enough curlers.
I have been using Hot Sticks for several years now. I love them. I have long hair and they work better than any other product I have ever used. I have tried many different products but I always come back to using the Hot Sticks. You just roll them up in your hair and lock them in place. You never have to worry about them falling out while you are doing something else. They stay securely in place. I will usually roll up my hair, go pick out something to wear, come back and take the rollers out. In just a few short minutes my hair is curly and I'm ready to go. The curls last all day. I like the bigger sticks that are usually purple. The pink stick are too small and tend to make my hair a little frizzy.
Pros: Easy to Use. Curls REALLY straight Hair into beautiful soft curls. Cons: pulls a few strands out when un-rolling.Hot on finger tips when rolling.
We bought Our Hot Sticks for My Teen age daughter to Use for Pageants. IF You are looking for curls... Use these Sticks. Make sure You leave then in Your hair until they feel cool. They Really give You curl...Lots of it. my daughter has VERY SUPER STRAIGHT hair. These curl her hair marvelously. They are a little tricky to get used to using
-but easier than traditional hot rollers with clips.
just curl up the hair and push the end of the curler through the loop. TOO EASY.
HINT: I do not recommend using any of the the setting sprays prior to rolling each strand. I find that We get much more curl by just rolling clean hair. The hair curls up with bouncier curls.
These are the best hot roller system that I have found through the years.
Hot Sticks are....Coool!!! by hoolia2010 ,Dec 26 '07
Pros: Easy to use! Beautiful curls result! Cons: NOT ENOUGH STICKS WE WANT MORE STICKS!! :O
My daughter just received Hot Sticks for Christmas. We read the reviews on here and were suspicious of the results and a little Scared of the Sticks (burns, tangles, etc.)
To my delight (and hers) these Sticks are a piece of cake to use. Nobody got burned. Her hair did not become tangled. Of course, we were about five Sticks short of the number required to set all of her long hair, but in the matter of just a few short minutes, her hair had gone from stick (haha) Straight to a head full of soft, beautiful, Spiral curls.
We love our Sticks! In fact, we will buy More Sticks.
Confusing but frustrating hot sticks by oh_my_lordy ,Mar 29 '08
Pros: easy to close Cons: unable to roll hair up. need to be wider, some to thin.
I would have to say that I do not like this product. I have had many troubles with the sticks. I can not get my hair to roll up in them. I even had to have my Aunt help me and she got frustrated with them. I think its a wonderful idea but maybe a better way to help roll up the hair and hook them in place. Other than that I nor my Aunt would not recommend this product to others.
