Pros: None, really. Can be read if you have nothing better to do. Cons: Deceptive. The writings were not from God, but from the author's automatic writing sessions.
Summary: The title is absolutely deceptive and to those who don't know about the arts of contacting the subconscious, things would appear to be genuine. Well, the book itself is supposed to be "answers" the author got by "writing to God" and somehow writing ... read more

Pros: Is this of God or what we want to hear? Cons: Is this of God or what we want to hear?
Summary: From what I have read in Book 3 I have found that this is not of GOD. This MAN has made claims that everyone asks especially those who do belong to a Church/congregation. I ask myself these questions all the time but what sets me apart is my "FAITH" in ... read more

Pros: The title and proposed content of the book touches on an interesting concept. Cons: "God" is inconsistent, forgets what He said previously in the book, and contradicts Himself repeatedly.
Summary: The problem with most of us these days is that we want our ears tickled. Which is not to say that Neale Donald Walsch is not a well-meaning man he may very well be. And, as it so happens, his divine experience will undoubtedly improve the ... read more

Pros: This book is as enjoyable to read as it is profound. Cons: The book repeats itself somewhat.
Summary: Conversations with God is much more than a book, it is a dialogue about how to live a life that works. Author Neale Donald Walsch opens by sharing the depths of his own sorrow. His life was falling apart, and he could not understand why, as he had always ... read more

Pros: Has been life altering, thought provoking. Cons: Can be taken too literally.
Summary: On a recommendation by my father I decided to read this book. I began reading the Conversations with God trilogy as a closed minded Christian but ended it as an atheist. Half way through the first book I tossed it, convinced that it was a blasph ... read more

Pros: inspirational and makes you feel good. Cons: difficult for some to understand.
Summary: What a wonderful series of books these are. I read my first, Book 1, while staying in Las Vegas, NV with family. I was impressed at how true and completely believable the content was. The writer does not try to force his own beliefs down your throat like ... read more

Pros: Adresses universal ideas, written in a way any reader can get something out of it Cons: Controversial- it does not line up with any specific religion
Summary: This is the kind of book that you try to read in one sitting simply because you don't want to put it down. It is written simplistically, with words that practically anyone could comprehend. Still, its merit is not to be discounted because its ... read more

Pros: A non-arrogant way to understanding our relationship with God, as we've never thought before. Cons: A little rambling at times
Summary: A magnificent read for a quicker understanding of our relationship with God. Admittedly, I was a little skeptical when my friend first offered it to me. At just over 200 pages, with very easy writing to follow, I read it faster than expected.

Pros: The title is intriquing. Cons: It conflicts with the Bible.
Summary: The title, "Conversations With God", is what prompted me to pick this book up for a read. I was astounded when I begin to read this book about some of the Author's so called God given ideas. Nothing he said matched up with the Bible, which is God's word. ... read more

Pros: A look at today's issues answered in an honest, judge free manor. Cons: Not for the closed minded.
Summary: What would happen if one day, frustrated with life, you sat down and wrote to God? In this letter you just started asking him random questions... whatever was troubling you, whatever came to mind.
What would happen if He answered you?

Pros: The insanity is at least persistent. A tolerant, if crazy, message. Cons: More hokum and hype, just like the first book
Summary: In my review of the first book in this series, I was probably a little too harsh. I slammed the author for claiming that his writings were in fact the word of God Himself. I was concerned that the author never seriously bothered to try to convince the ... read more

Pros: a wierdly fascinating fantasy Cons: Insane arrogance!
