Coral Reef Service NOT up to Disney Standards by dad2colinryan ,Jul 07 '08
Pros: The seafood dish I had was actually very good, though a little small. Cons: Large group service suffers - they tack on the gratuity ahead of time.
I agree the service here was terrible. We had a group of seven dining here in late June 2008 and this was one of our few "big ticket" meals on the Disney property while there. We made reservations weeks in advance and were really looking forward to it. While the food was very good, the service was LOUSY and certainly not up to what we expected. Besides having to wait about an hour for our table, the server had a real attitude problem. I think his name was Rad or Nad or something. But it wasn't just a bad attitude - it was poor service. Things asked for and not gotten, slow service, etc. One of us mentioned it to the hostess on the way out, to no avail. I think the problem is with a group our size, they had already tacked on the 18% gratuity and I think this guy knew it. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place and from what I read here it looks like my experience wasn't unique.
