Pros: Lightweight, durable, easy to clean and store. Cons: Are there cons to Corelle?
Dateline: February, 2006 Problem: Husband has no ideas what to get wife for V-Day, and it is fast approaching Solution: Just give up and ask wife what she wants! Yes, it is true. My wife is probably one of the luckiest and ...
Pros: Lightweight and break, chip, and scratch resistant.
Cons: NONE.
I have always loved setting a pretty table. I have two fancier china patterns, and used Pfaltzgraff for my everyday and casual entertaining.
My grandmother always had the Corelle Winter White, which is the plain white dishes. I think she's had them for at least 25 years, and they still look like new.
Anyway, I decided that I wanted some Corelle, because my Pfaltzgraff was showing a lot of wear (scratches with each fork or knife scrape!!!!!), and it was so darned heavy that unloading the dishwasher twice a day was practically giving me carpal tunnel syndrome!
I selected Corelle because it is light, extremely strong and really pretty. I got the Chutney Pattern, and now I used it for everyday and for ALL my entertaining! Who wants to handwash fine china when you have just entertained 15 guests? Not me!
It's easy for a family with children, too. It rarely breaks, and if by chance it does, replacements are very inexpensive!
All in all, a WONDERFUL product that is easy to live with.
