Cosina AF 28-300mm f/4-6.3 MC for Sony

Pros: Reasonable cost, good value for the money
Cons: Slight distortion

I purchased this lens as my daily carry lens for my Alpha 350, and so far am quite impressed... It costs less than half of other lines, and although there is some distortion (which is easily corrected in Photo Shop or the like), I think the clarity, ease of use, focal range and other virtues far outweigh the bad. Durability remains to be seen, but in that I am not a professional photog, and have had issues with Canon regarding durability, I think the lens will serve me well. I purchased a warranty with the lens so for the next three years or so if anything goes wrong the cost is zero.

I have read some reviews complaining the lens was not durable, but like all precision equipment, if you want to abuse it and not care for it, the life will be greatly reduced...
