We love our Craftmatic!

by amm87 , May 25 '06
Pros: Great for acid reflux, aches and pains of aging and leg and circulation problems.
Cons: It is expensive. Heavy to move.
We have owned a Craftmatic bed for 18 years and love it! We actually got it when I was pregnant and having very bad heartburn and swelling of the ankles. It was great to be able to sit in bed at the end of the day and put the head and feet up and watch ...

Bed Goes Up, Bed Goes Down

by tonya66 , Oct 16 '01
Pros: Comfortable, conducive to getting good rest, helpful for edema conditions.
Cons: VERY expensive, high pressure sales pitch by the salesmen who sell these products.
Ever see those Craftmatic adjustable bed ads on TV? You know, the ones where you see happy, well rested people telling you that you can watch TV, eat, read, use your laptop, and do just about everything else from the comfort of your bed? With a tendency...

by meleahk Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Dec 04 '02
Pros: Great massages in bed, well that's a good thing!
Cons: can be pricey
Update: We are still enjoying our bed! I flip the mattress often to give us constant support and to help preserve them. I sleep well at night and the masasage still works well on my back, legs and neck. This bed is the way to go in my book. ...

This bed is a Godsend.

by k4tbn , Mar 29 '03
Pros: No more pain in my back or legs. Complete sleep comfort.
Cons: I want to stay in bed all of the time.
Since entering my 50's, deep, all night sleep has become rare. My back is constantly sore from playing hard at sports for decades and my legs have near constant pain as a result of poor circulation. My feet are always cold it seems. A surgeon, who is...

Craftmatic Model 1 Mattress

by stockholder Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Apr 01 '02
Pros: Craftmatic Model 1 Mattress gave me my first decent night sleep in a year.
Cons: If I were to buy this bed I would probably have to eat it.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending Easter Weekend at my sister Karen’s house. She recently married this Gynecologist Doctor she has been seeing for awhile. This guy has more money than he could spend in three lifetimes. They just moved...

Customer DIS-Service

by rflong7 , Nov 03 '05
Pros: The various positions and massage option sounded wonderful!
Cons: After canceling our order by email, Craftmatic phoned me -- not a pleasant experience!
We contracted to purchase a Model I bed, but cancelled our contract after speaking with my physical therapist, who said sleeping with my feet up in the air was not good at all for my back, but if all I wanted it for was the massage option, that was fine. ...

Avoid it. Like the plague.

by annalindsay , Feb 15 '02
Pros: It's adjustable
Cons: Cons: everything else. Size: normal. Quality: appalling. After-sales care: a lie. Cost: exorbitant
Craftmatic: the best bed in the world. Or so they claim in their brochures.
Actually, the quality is worse than the cheapest of all cheap foam mattresses. After-sales care: non-existent. Cost: exorbitant -- even after the "special price" the...

Craftmatic Mattress Warranty useless

by billzilla , Mar 02 '08
Pros: Good mechanism
Cons: Mattresses fail quickly, Craftmatic will not honor warranty.
I bought a King Size XL Craftmatic bed 14 months ago. This is actually made up of two XL twin beds, which fit in my bedframe nicely. The mechanism has performed well, the vibrator is fine. I am single, and sleep on one side. On flipping the mattress, ...

Over priced

by ollieoo , Dec 26 '01
Pros: The bed is functional. It will do what the sells person said it would do
Cons: Not worth the money you are asked to pay. Trail period should be longer.
This bed is okay, however it is not worth the asking price.
I paid, for what ever reason, 4339.00 for my Queen size
There is no Heat, which for the money paid should have
included the heated mattress cover. As a heart patient I

Unbelievable sleep!
by jentroll ,Jun 07 '06
Pros: Best sleep we've ever had
Cons: What's not to like about better health?
My husband and I have had back problems for ages. We looked at the beds knowing they were a little more expensive than the ones in bed stores but wanted to know why! We chose Craftmatic on the recommendation of friends and knew how much they paid for it before we had the salesman come over.

We bought it (the Model 1) because every other company compared their product to Craftmatic but none had the warranties, experience or knowledge of exactly why it was so beneficial. Also, with all the beds available, hospitals use sturdy adjustable beds so I figured Craftmatic knew what they were doing.

I've looked at cheaper models in other places and found out one thing. They are ALL lower quality in my opinion- no exceptions!

This is so sturdy I'll pass it on to my kids!

Our back pain is gone and yes, it was not cheap... but what is that is good for you?

Well worth every cent!!

We've had our Craftmatic approx. 12 years now
by joykelley ,Mar 26 '07
Pros: Works well, good for medical conditions
Cons: Poor mattress, high price
We have had our Craftmatic bed approximately 12 years now. In 2004 we had them come out and redo the material on the box-spring part. They also replaced the motors and gave us new updated controls. The bed was like brand new in 1/2 hour...all done in our bedroom as we watched. It cost us around $400.00 to have this all done. My husband has severe acid reflux, and I have back problems. The mattress was not of good quality, but lasted about 8 years before we started noticing it was not comfortable anymore. The cost of the bed was just over $6000.00 for two twins with separate controls. We have the twins together and they connect underneath. We purchased new mattresses after 10 years. The bed itself works great, and I would invest in it again. It cost way too much...and I wish they would really, really upgrade the mattress.

Model 1 Not for Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy or RLS
by zealotron ,Oct 20 '06
Pros: Wife sleeps better, heating pads are blessing in winter
Cons: Mattress to thin, price to high, interest is excessive
My wife has had fusion on her lower back, I have sleep apnea, narcolepsy and RLS. We had hoped it would benefit both of us. It has possibly helped her with her back but done nothing for me, I toss and turn and it feels as if the mattress is falling apart. Once we have finished paying it off, I'll be looking into a replacement mattress.
I do like the heated pad during the colder months and the temperature range is very accommodating.
The price is high and the interest rates are oppressive...after a year we still seem to owe almost as much as at the beginning...I wouldn't do it again and regret having bought my half. I am grateful for the relief my wife has been able to get from her half.

Craftmatic bed quality
by owgh ,Jun 12 '04
Pros: The number of features is impressive.
Cons: POOR SERVICE SATISFACTION AND NO MONEY BACK POLICY!
The craftmatic bed is not available for actual trial use and therefore not available for scrutiny. When the bed is delivered, it's yours forever, according to the salesperson. The company in Massachusetts is not available to fix any problem at the customers convenience. I had heard of Craftmatic and presumed I was dealing with a 'class' act, but I was wrong. I have not dealt with a company for a very long time that does not have a satisfaction quarantee and Craftmatic does not have such a policy. I've 'made' my bed and so now I get to lie in it forever, inspite of the back pain and shoddy workmanship.
Shame on you.
