Craftsman 7 inch grinder
by cucumber ,Aug 23 '06
Pros: Sears return policy Cons: definately not for commercial use - won't last
I worked in a metal fab shop and used grinders quite a lot. The Craftsman grinder was purchased at Sears during an out of town job.
After about six hours of hard use, the bearings went. Returned it to Sears who gladly exchanged it for another (two hours lost from job site).
The second grinder was used in a freezer grinding 1/2 inch anchor bolts and it only lasted a day and a half when the armature came apart.
A grinder its not, maybe light sanding or polishing.

Junk after 3 years

I am a Professional Pipefitter and Certified Welder I bought this grinder for $130.00 and took VERY GOOD care of it. After 3 years of reletively light work the motor is totally gone.
