Crank Bros Mallet C

Pros: Stable platform, easy to clip in, orange, magnesium lightness.
Cons: Soft clips - make for ever changing engagement characteristics as they wear.

The Mallet M is the Magnesium version of the Mallet C. They cost $10 more at pricepoint.com, where I bought them, but they're 100gs lighter than the Cs. My shop said that I bought them for less than they can get them, ($69). They retail for over $100. ...

Pros: Work well, the mallet offers option of not being clipped.
Cons: Release can be tricky in panic situation.

Pros: Easy in/out. clears mud. great cust service. best pedal.
Cons: no complaints

I ve used this product now for close to a year. I ride in soil conditions where sometimes the mud is thick and sticky. I ride free style, take drops, and un-clip periodically. I have used many other unmentioned brands of clipless pedals. This brand is the best. Period. Also, what I love about this product. One of the spindles broke from "normal wear and tear" and Crank Brothers rebuilt the pedals no questions asked. Great Product. Great Service. 5 stars
