Be aware! These markers can ruin furniture!
by djgaris ,Jul 18 '07
Pros: Appealing to watch the colors magically appear
Cons: These markers will stain and ruin the finish on some furniture.
I purchased the Color Wonder set for my 2 yr. old granddaughter. Since it stated on the box that it colored only on the color wonder paper, I thought it would be great not having to worry about stains getting on anything. My daughter sat her at my brand new custom made maple dining table to have some coloring fun. She inadvertently colored off the paper and onto the table. Imagine my disappointment when I saw that yellow and red colored lines appeared on my table. No matter what I tried, they would not come off. Unfortunately, on light maple they are very noticeable. So, now what do I do to remove them from my brand new table or is it ruined forever? Needless to say, I will not purchase this product again and will highly discourage anyone else from buying them.

Thank You Crayola!
by kittenish1 ,Nov 15 '04
Pros: Works great, leaves no mess.
Cons: Limited array of colors and books.
My 18 month old has been getting into every pen, pencil, marker, or crayon he could get his hands on. And usually they ended up scribbled on "good" things, not the paper that they were intended for. I love the Color Wonder products.....their markers don't leave marks on the carpet, the walls, the sofa, or the dog. Only on the special paper, which other types of pens, crayons, markers, etc. will work on as well. The Color Wonder markers don't dry out very fast either. I found one that had been un-capped for three days and it still worked on the Color Wonder paper. My son will be kept well supplied with this product until he realizes walls aren't for art work......yet.
