When looking for ways for my son to express his artistic ability (yes, those scribbles are art!), I wanted something that would leave his body and my carpet color-free. Granted, we have a few KoolAid marks, but I would rather not have blue and green...
Pros: Non-toxic. Won't mark up surfaces. Colors appear on special paper. Cons: Can leave marks on some materials. Packaging waste.

Last Saturday morning I purchased the Color Wonder Fun Desk for my sons fourth birthday. I knew that with the party guests and my three boys that the paper would be used up quickly so I decided to go ahead and purchase extra Color Wonder...
Pros: The markers only write on the color wonder paper. Cons: The pages of the paper pad tear out too easily resulting in wasted paper.
My daughter just turned two this summer and really enjoys coloring. The problem is that she doesn't stop coloring on just paper. She will draw on anything she comes across including walls, furniture, and the TV.
Pros: Mess-free, no mess, and devoid of mess. Cons: Smells nasty, costs a lot
My daughter is rapidly approaching the age of two, and...how can I put this delicately...she's a gigantic, horrific mess-maker unlike anything this world has ever SEEN!!! (Sorry 'bout that.)
Pros: Absolutely will not color on anything but the special paper. Cons: My daughter became frustrated and bored.
Many months ago Santa Claus saw a certain commercial on television. This ad depicted two little boys running around their house with (gasp) open markers! These naughty little hooligans were coloring on everything! Santa noticed, though, with a...

Pros: No obvious marks on clothing or furniture Cons: potent odor, takes long to dry
Another car trip is planned & I'm beginning to panic. I'm always looking for new ideas to keep our kids, ages 2 1/2, 5 1/2, & 10 1/2, occupied in the car. Okay so I really just want them to SLEEP the whole way but that isn't going to happen!...
Pros: No mess, really! Cons: Colors are not that bright, not sure about discoloring of ingredients later
These markers sound like a dream, don't they? Mess free, they will not color on anything other than the special "waxy" paper that Crayola sells specifically for them. Wow! A mother's dream come true! No more marker streaks on the kids'...
Pros: Looked attractive on the shelf, interesting concept Cons: Industrial-strength chemical odor
I should've known that anything for sale with the word 'magically' in its self description would be more chemical-laden than most typically chemical-laden products. But the markers were so big, so bright, so nicely packaged sitting there on the shelf of...
Pros: No mess, fun for child Cons: Strange smell, dull colors, expensive
Crayola Color Wonder products caught my eye in Wal-Mart one day. The price was steep, but I decided it was worth a try to keep my daughter entertained at certain times, so I gave them a try.
Pros: Art, Crafts & a little Science all in one, No stains Cons: Expensive, odor

The Easter Bunny brought my kids the Crayola Color Wonder kit for Easter this year. I love that guy! ;o) My children are young yet and every coloring session usually ends in the bathtub. Since candy is usually the primary gift at Easter, Mr. Bunny...
Pros: colors on paper only Cons: well, colors on wood too :(
I don't know why I send my husband out on errands for things like medicine or food, because he always comes home with something extra. Usually something for our toddler daughter. Not that I am against getting her things, just not every time we go out....
Pros: No mess, bright colors, inexpensive. Cons: The coloring book only allows color to develop on the picture itself which I feel hinders creativity.
I have three boys under 4 and have been struggling for a few months now with how to get my 21 month old involved in crafts with my 3 1/2 year old without making a huge mess! I was strolling down the craft aisle at Wal-Mart when I saw them. I thought,...
Pros: do not mark on things it shouldn't Cons: have to have certain paper to use them
We just had my daughter's birthday party this past weekend and she got two sets of these markers (one came with a tablet and one came with a coloring book). Let me tell you, this is the best thing she has ever gotten.
I had been debating about buying the markers for quite sometime and finally went ahead with it after my two year old found where we stashed our six year old's markers. She had colored her hands and arms with bright green ink that took over a week to come...
Pros: Only work on special paper, nothing else. Great for parents and their children to gain confidence in markers and their use. Cons: They don't smell pretty. Paper curls. Start up sets are a little pricey.
This is a fabulous creation.
My daughter loves to "draw" if that is what you call it for an 18 month old.
The sets always come with a mesh bag to store your markers in. The mesh bag snaps onto the back of either the plain paper pad...
Pros: No mess, teaches cause and effect, more fun then the typical crayon Cons: Markers only work on special paper, which costs $2.99 a pad
Please allow me to jump on the Color Wonder bandwagon. These markers with paper are wonderful! I bought this set as a gift for my three year old son a few days ago I wish I’d known about them months ago. He loves coloring with them and I love not...

Pros: Only colors on the "special" paper. No more mess.
Cons: Refill paper expensive. Marker's smell a little funny.
My parents had bought this for my son as I was sick and tired of constantly telling him to be careful when he was coloring with regular markers. They saw it in a store and thought it was a great idea.
I picked up a package of Color Wonder Markers & Paper while on a business trip with my husband and almost preschooler.
My daughter has drawn on the wall before (once) and the markers (though not the price) seemed like a good idea to occupy her...
Pros: No more crayon mess on walls or anywhere Cons: none
This has to be one of the best inventions since peanut butter.
My 3 year old has decided that he can write novels. All over the place. I just bought him the mess free color wonder markers and paper. Thinking that there is no way that these...
Pros: mess free Cons: colors not as bright, little smelly, 6 markers?
It is a great concept and one long overdue. Imagine coloring the walls, floors, everything but a piece of paper or coloring book and not making a mess! Brilliant! (idea that is, not the colors!)
Pros: Clean up is a piece of cake. Helps teach to write on paper only. Cons: Designated paper is necessary and is a little pricey.
These markers were the first I bought for my preschool toddler. I thought that the idea of writing only on special paper was great, considering the number of other things previously used for writing medium in my house already! The markers are designed...
Pros: Markers color ONLY on the special majic paper Cons: expensive...to start....
My 2 yr old niece is getting at that point in her life where she wants to express her artistic side....on everything. She completely sabotaged my mothers sofa covers by paintin her version of what looked like an abstract painting. So, at the advice of a...

Pros: mess free Cons: the smell gets to you after a while
The color wonder price is not the same in every state. Crayola also has the color wonder color book where children of all ages can color in the lines. My little girl (1 1/2) just loves hers. She and I will sit there and color for hours on end and the...
Pros: Wont mark on anything but speical paper Cons: wont mark on anything but speical paper
My son recived this product Color wonder by Crayola for Christmas, mind you he is 2 1/2 and is not allowed to use markers very often at home. We tore into the package on New Years Eve (We were finally able to put all the gifts away that morning). And my...
Pros: Great idea, no more surprise marks around the house Cons: Markers stain some clothes/fabrics
I first bought these for my daughter when she was about 18 months. She loves to draw and I would often find marks on walls, kitchen, furniture, etc. around the house so when I saw the commercial for these markers I was very happy to see this great...
Pros: Only writes on the "wonder paper" and it keeps kids busy for hours
Cons: The markers have a slight odor
These are the greatest markers! Whoever invented these is a genius in my book! We decided to buy these before our annual trip to Florida to keep our then 3 year old daughter, and 2 year old son occupied. We were sold on the fact that the markers only...
Pros: very easy to use, no messy hands, walls, furniture Cons: color takes a bit to appear

First off, my 2.5 year old son LOVES to color, draw, paint...if it makes a mark on a piece of paper he likes it. Well I was in the market for some drawing items for him per his speech therapist/Birth to 3 teacher's request. Well, I set off to Walmart and ...
Be aware! These markers can ruin furniture! by djgaris ,Jul 18 '07
Pros: Appealing to watch the colors magically appear Cons: These markers will stain and ruin the finish on some furniture.
I purchased the Color Wonder set for my 2 yr. old granddaughter. Since it stated on the box that it colored only on the color wonder paper, I thought it would be great not having to worry about stains getting on anything. My daughter sat her at my brand new custom made maple dining table to have some coloring fun. She inadvertently colored off the paper and onto the table. Imagine my disappointment when I saw that yellow and red colored lines appeared on my table. No matter what I tried, they would not come off. Unfortunately, on light maple they are very noticeable. So, now what do I do to remove them from my brand new table or is it ruined forever? Needless to say, I will not purchase this product again and will highly discourage anyone else from buying them.
Pros: Works great, leaves no mess. Cons: Limited array of colors and books.
My 18 month old has been getting into every pen, pencil, marker, or crayon he could get his hands on. And usually they ended up scribbled on "good" things, not the paper that they were intended for. I love the Color Wonder products.....their markers don't leave marks on the carpet, the walls, the sofa, or the dog. Only on the special paper, which other types of pens, crayons, markers, etc. will work on as well. The Color Wonder markers don't dry out very fast either. I found one that had been un-capped for three days and it still worked on the Color Wonder paper. My son will be kept well supplied with this product until he realizes walls aren't for art work......yet.
