Pros: Good quality drivers, attractive, simple design, no glaring flaws Cons: They don't "crank"
While researching laptop computers with my college bound son, the topic of a stereo system for his dorm room came up. Since the majority of his music is sourced through his computer anyway, we discussed the idea of just buying amplified speakers instead ...
Pros: Well-built, clean, simple and, of course, great-sounding. Cons: Plain appearance in my opinion. BRIGHT LED.
I had a relatively cheap 5.1 Altec Lansing speaker setup connected to my computer, but after rearranging some furniture I found that I didn't have a place to put the rear speakers. I decided to look for a nice and simple 2 speaker setup to make my desk ...
Pros: Very high quality components. Surprising sound with balanced bass. Small yet durable design. Cons: Blinding power LED. High volumes and bass settings can cause woofers to cough.
I bought the Gigaworks T20 speakers as something I could bring with me to use with my notebook computer when I travel. Here's a run-down of each aspect of these particular speakers as I see them: WHAT ARE THEY?: The GigaWorks T20 are a 2.0 speaker ...
Pros: Small size, great sound and cloth speaker material not paper. Cons: Power light is way too bright.
I decided to get these speakers as I decreased my available desktop space and needed to get into something more simple than my 7.1 setup. These little speakers have great sound and surprising bass for the size of the speaker and cabinet. Now while ...
Pros: Superb sound from small cabinets. THE BEST!!! Cons: They are perfect
I was replacing my old computer speakers and I found the Creative Technology Gigaworks T20 Speakers at Best Buy. Since I had a coupon and the reviews were good I thought I would give them a try. I have not been disappointed! These are great ...
Pros: Superb sound, especially given their size. Bass/Treble controls if you need them (I don't) Cons: Dark glasses needed until you fix the LED. Makes near everything else sound poor.
I was going to upgrade my soundcard, then at the last moment I decided to upgrade my speakers first.
This ranks as one of my better decisions; these speakers are truly wonderful, and I don't need a new soundcard. The sound quality is comparable with my HiFi system, which only cost about 100 times more (QUAD/Kef).
Along with everyone else, I was blinded by the blue LED power indicator, so scribbled over it with a black CD marker.
I'm a little concerned about the open bass ports on the tops; I'm sure to drop something in! I plan to cover them with speaker gauze.
Pros: crystal clear highs, and low mid range tones! Cons: blinding blue light, and enormous power supply.
These are the best 2.0 speakers I've heard in this price range! I bought these online (untested in any store) and was basically going by what others were saying about them, and I gotta say I'm happy I took the chance on them because they are well worth the $80 w/ free shipping (that I paid)!
They are powerful speakers, with crystal clear highs and low mid range tones. I wasn't expecting the bass to sound as good as it does without a subwoofer, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a punch they actually deliver.
If I had to give them any negative feedback, it would be the blue "power on" light is so bright I can almost use them as a night light... and the power supply is gigantic! but aside from that they are top notch speakers!
If you're expecting to listen to rap or loud rock, I suggest looking elsewhere, but for everyday PC speakers these can't be beat! I use them for music as well as games, and they both sound fantastic! highly recommended!
Creatives service dept sent a non functioning set of speakers by dbme ,Feb 26 '09
Pros: Sound good Cons: Creative labs has lost its quality and any desire to service their customers
Don't trust these guys. I doubt these speakers were even ckecked by QA. One speaker didnt work out of the box. Creative refused to pay shipping (cost me $22 plus the original refurb cost $59, plus shipping equiled $72, totaling $94 for used speakers that I still don't have back from their service dept. I can work with a mistake but they seem to think thier problem should cost me $ and thier customersefvice department by email tried to direct me to thier 800 number rather than answer my questions or provide...well...Customer Service!!! This isnt the first problem i've had with this company. However it is the last. Buy from someone else and maybe you will get a working product from a company that wants return customers!
