Pros: @ $49, it's a very good coffee maker! Variable temperature hot plate. Cons: Stair step water gauge can be hard to see. Only a glass carafe.
Looking for a quality coffee maker at a reasonable price can be a big challenge, but finding the Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 12 cup cofee maker for $49 at Sam's Club was an easy solution. It all started when a real cheapie Chineese made coffe ...

Pros: Looks. Gold Filter Included. Carbon filter provides GREAT tasting coffee. Cons: Fingerprints. Price.
When I went shopping for a new Coffee Pot, I had one thing in mind - it had to be silver. This turned out to be harder to find than expected. After looking at Target a few other places, I finally found one at Bed Bath & Beyond.
I expected...

Pros: well-made; Accurate water measurement grid;
Cons: Small coffee grind basket
impossible to clean
I bought this based on the many reviews here. This was to replace my Krups Pro-aroma time model 543. See my review of that model from Jan 2001.
If you like strong Coffee, forget this coffee maker. The basket barely holds 14 tablespoons of grounds...

Pros: Fully Programmable, Solid Construction, Sleek 'Retro' look, Optional Water Filter, Great tasting coffee Cons: No Water Level Indicator. Digital Clock difficult to read.
This review is based on MY personal experience with the Cuisinart 'Brew Central' Coffeemaker. Since I am a Certified Coffee-a-holic, I had to have something Sturdy, with 12 cup capacity & a Programmable Timer. Plus, I didn't want...

Pros: Easy to use, makes great coffee, looks good in any kitchen Cons: Long brewing time, grounds seep through the gold filter
I new I wanted this coffee maker as soon as I saw it and checked out all the features. Problem, $99.99, and also, whatever one I got, I had to buy two of them. Long story, but at our house we really need two. Sooooo, when I became aware of the fact that...

Pros: Keeps coffee hot, does not drip. Easy to program. Cons: Difficult to fill and clean.
My 10-year old Braun finally died, and I was forced to get a new pot. Bed, Bath and Beyond had a limited selection, so I bought the Cuisinart- Brew Central. Boy, am I disappointed! It makes an ok cup of coffee, but no different or better than ...

Pros: Great tasting coffee, durable construction, thoughtfully designed Cons: A tad pricey
I consider myself to be the average run-of-the-mill, boy-next-door of coffee drinkers. I have 2 cups in the morning before leaving for work to get me in gear and usually a couple of cups at night, before or after dinner. Occasionally I’ll splurge for a...

Pros: Brews fast, coffee tastes good Cons: Pricey, display is hard to read, control knobs are hard to see position.
We bought the DCC-1200 to replace a old Mr. Coffee machine and we wanted one that followed some of the "best practices" of coffee making. Given that we fill it with grounds the night before and it might sit on the heater for an hour sometimes before we ...

Pros: Nice looking and sturdy! Very nice features -- the programmable auto-shutoff in particular. Cons: Messing with the programmable auto-shutoff during brewing turned off the brewing.
I bought the Cuisinart DCC-1200 yesterday to replace my fire-hazard dead Bunn, largely based on the reviews here. My experiences so far: When I first removed it from its packing, the first thing that struck me was the sturdiness. It just looks and ...

Pros: Stylish, Programmable Start & Stop Times, 12 cup capacity Cons: none
This is a cool little machine. I bought this coffeemaker 5 months ago. I loved the style! It looks like it belongs at Starbucks. I wanted a stainless finish to match the rest of my kitchen. The 12 cup capacity is generous enough for entertaining. I...

Pros: Good looks, flavor, temperature and timing Cons: Time display difficult to see, height, water filter hard to open
When I unwrapped the Christmas paper and bows I liked what I saw. This coffee maker didn't just look like it would do the job that it was intended for, it looked cool. It has such a simple look, but the buttons, dials and switches gave it an ...

Pros: Unique styling, feature laden. Cons: Mediocre coffee, high price, awkward water reservoir.
I awakened two days ago and stumbled to the kitchen for my early morning infusion of coffee only to find that my long loved Braun had died sometime in its' sleep during the night. Deeply saddened and extremely grumpy, I came to epinions to figure out...
