Pros: Looks great, glass jar, 600 watts Cons: Quality is the same as blenders costing one third the price,
I had a bad run of luck with blenders last year. Inexplicably, my old blender died and then the new one I replaced it with died within a month. I was out twenty five bucks seeing as how Im one of those people who throw receipts away ...
I love me some Pina Colada. There is nothing better after a long day and irritating night than to grab a bunch of ice, throw it down into a blender glass, and take your frustrations out on the *crush* button. It is almost carnal. To know that within ...
Pros: Stainless steel blades to crush ice at high or low speed you can time. Cons: It leaks and mostly only pulses.
My mom is a great cook and in every great cooks kitchen, certain appliances are needed to complete the delicious meals that are prepared. Every Sunday, my mom cooks a big meal so that after church, when we arrive home, we can eat together as a family. ...
Pros: I'd take a glass jug over plastic anyday. Cons: Just doesn't perform well and leaks.
Will I ever find my Blender charming? This is my 3rd attempt dating blenders. My first two were the Kitchenaid KSB560 5 Speed Blender (see reviews)...the one with the Polycarbonate plastic jug. The blender itself performed like a dream, but the ...
Pros: Nice looking; large jar. Cons: Two blade assemblies have cracked; somewhat noisy.
I've had a Cuisinart food processor (the same one!) for just over 20 years. It has performed a large variety of tasks extremely well during all of that time. When looking for a new blender, I assumed a Cuisinart would be up to that same standard of ...
Pros: Powerful, blends well, feels very solid Cons: None yet.
I bought this blender at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was about $100 and looked to be more powerful and heavier than the Kitchen Aid 5 model. I also preferred the mechanical connection between the base and the blade. The power is transferred by two gear-type ...
Pros: POWER, ice crushing abilities Cons: cheap, easy to break, difficult to replace plastic parts
The power on this baby crushes ice like you wouldn't believe. It's the strongest most efficient blender I've ever had. Cuisinart is a brand I've always heard good things about. But there are some downsides. The handle is plastic, and hollow, so ...
I bought this blender because it was large capacity and it appeared to be well made. My husband and I spent an hour at the store looking at blenders. I will not buy an appliance again before I read some reviews for it! One good thing about this ...
Pros: 50oz, looks professional,powerful600, sturdy no jumping, not that loud,3yr warranty Cons: too square at top for pouring, hard to hide cord
i used all these sites, thought i should give back. bought Cuisinart SmartPower SPB-7 to replace my burnt out krups(16 months old)i make protein shakes with ice and fruit etc.did not seem as powerful and jumped a little. took it back and got the...
Pros: Power - 600 watts is a hellavalot.
Ease of Use - intuitive buttons. Cons: Container is a bit heavy. On plus side, it is also 50oz, very large capacity.
My fiancé and I were looking to pick up a blender... Not just any blender, but one that will last us for years and years. The prerequisites: 1. Power 2. Reliability 3. Power 4. Power 5. Ease of Use As you can see, power was very important in our ...
Pros: Nice base finish Cons: Pour spout spills liquids, cheap handle with plastic finish, only two speeds
This blender's wide, flat pour spout causes liquid to spill EVERYWHERE and run down the side of the jar. Did anyone at Cusinart even test this grossly flawed design? It only has 2 speeds and it requires two annoying button presses to turn the blender...
I only used this blender at most 12 times a year, and not for tough jobs. I bought it in 2003. In 2007, it started to emit a smoky odor (motor not doing well) even though I was blending soft mushy food, and the blades were not jammed, and it had only been on about 15 seconds. The next time I used it, it died. I also encountered leaking through the bottom of the unit sometimes.
Pros: High power Cons: Leaks 50% of the time
No pour spout
Cuisinart has managed to produce an inferior product, sold it at an inflated price and provided rude customer service. I have never, until today, had a "customer service" representative hang up on me. She was unhelpful, sarcastic and just plain rude. For a company that used to provide a superior product, they have failed miserably.
Pros: a good looking blender, if you don't plan to use it, Cons: cannot be repaired after warranty expires. So... poor construction, poor service options.
I ordered this online when I lived far from retailers. I've hardly ever used it, but it has needed repairs twice. The plastic separated, and I ordered a replacement from cuisinart. Then one day I tried to use it but it was "dead".
There is a fuse but it's clearly not intended to be replaced by users.
So I emailed Cuisinart's Customer Service folks. Here's what they said:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately we don't repair this machine and the serial number indicates that the unit is no longer under warranty therefore we cannot replace it with a new one."
So... out of luck, go buy a new one.
I won't buy another one that can't be repaired. This unit is new in terms of hours of use, but once it's out of warranty, cuisinart won't even repair it. I think that's just lame.
I do lots of blending at home and used my $25.00 blender for more than two years. My husband and I thought it was time for us to buy a better one this time. I went through Cuisinart site and decided to buy their most powerful blender. We brought Cuisinart CBT-500 SmartPower Premier Work Top Blender with great expectations. The first use went very well. On my second use the handle on the glass jar slipped. But it went back to it's position. On my third use which was in less than a week, the motor got burnt. There goes my powerful blender.
High style and high power come together in Cuisinart's 600-watt blender. Rugged enough for the toughest blending tasks, even ice crushing, it features...More at CHEFS Catalog
