Cons: Everything else - cleanup, popcorn quality, price, ridicu-huge size

Okay, maybe the title doesn't do this machine justice. Maybe there is something to be said for the scintillating smell of freshly made popcorn, a clear plastic popping chamber, and a small rotating wire over a heating element that just gets your juices ...

Pros: Easy to use, crisp popcorn, easy to clean.
Cons: Haven't found one yet!

Love this machine! Easy to use and the kids (even the grown-up ones) love to watch the popcorn pop. Popcorn is crispy and fresh tasting. Easy to control the amount of oil used, which is very cool. Whatever problems the Cuisinart folks had with earlier attempts at making great popcorn machines have been resolved in this unit. Well worth the extra dollars to have good popcorn. Easy cleanup is a plus!

This Cuisinart CPM-900 popcorn maker is a great looking product and produced great popcorn while it lasted. It seemed that right after the warranty period ended it stopped working...the motor just died...I had another popcorn popper that lasted for 5 years, and I am not an everyday popper.

Pros: Dishwasher safe detachable parts a great idea. Makes great corn while it works.
Cons: Cheap construction / poor design in places. These won't hold up.

I really liked the design of this machine. Being able to put the detachable popping tray... in the dishwasher a great idea.
Makes great corn... BUT we bought this for Christmas, and by Jan 12 it was broken.
The bottom unit contains an electrical connection to the popper tray... and it is already broken. The popper wouldn't heat one day and inspection revealed little plastic parts broken off in the bottom unit and the electrical connections were floating around such that they no longer made contact... I suspect this happened when the units were joined for use. As I looked at this construction... IMHO ... junk. Too many small plastic easily breakable parts subject to stress when unit is put together.
It's a shame because the overall design of this machine seems to employ quality materials and construction. I don't know what they were thinking and how this weak link in the design got past testing, but I would definitely avoid this machine. I don't think we did anything particularly abuse to it but it just didn't hold up.

Pros: Good popcorn
Cons: Unit breaks down shortly after you purchase it.

I love the popcorn the Cuisinart CPM-900 Popcorn Maker makes but not soon after I purchased the popcorn maker it stopped working.  I have went through 3 units so far and they all have stopped working. This is the last time I ever purchase this item again.
