Pros: breaks down on you without any warning Cons: Don't trust this thing, you'll lose your wines.
We bought this wine chiller after our failed foray in online shopping for our previous wine chiller. We got it for about 200 dollars at BevMo in California. Basically, we got what we were looking for. This is a nice looking, brushed silver wine ...

Pros: Looks nice on a countertop. Makes a good paper weight. Cons: This thing is a piece of junk.
My wife and I had registered for this wine chiller after seeing it on display at a local store and were surprised to receive it from one of her bridesmaids. We would love to be able to keep several bottles of our favorite wine at a lower than room ...

Might Damage Your Wine
by yamwacky ,Aug 20 '08
Pros: Looks great! Cons: Noisy and could destroy your wine.
While this little wine cellar looks great it has a lot of flaws. First off it's anything BUT quiet. The fan is very noisy. After about 18 months it stopped keeping a constant temperature, in fact it raised the temperature and warmed the wine. Of course we had no idea that it had done this since we do not check the cellar every day. So for how long it was heating up the wine we can't be sure. But it was long enough to destroy a dozen bottles of expensive wine that we'd be saving and we ended up just pouring out.
We would have been better off just keeping our wine in the cupboard.

Cuisinart Wine Cooler
by carmiland ,Feb 17 '09
Pros: Sleek look, bottles fit nicely Cons: Very noisy. The unit only lasts a couple of months
I bought this cooler for my husband for Christmas 2008. Although it looks nice and worked initially, it didn't last past Valentine's Day 2009. Although the display said 57 degrees, the inside was room temperature. The unit wasn't cooling, but the fan continued to run almost non-stop. Unless you want to spend $85 a month storing 9 bottles of wine, do not buy this unit!

Broke after one year, destroying wine...
by koball ,Jul 23 '07
Pros: Nice looking. Fair amount of capacity relative to size. Cons: Loud, and broke without warning
As mentioned previously, this is nice looking, but a little loud. Now, after one year, it just broke. I found out by seeing water (condensation?) leaking out of it, and opened it to find that it had given out on the 54 degrees I had it set at, and is now a nice 77 degrees. The ten bottles inside are many I brought back from France on our wedding trip that are I suppose we'll now have to drink up tonight... Very disappointing.

Short lifespan product design
by doesitholdup ,May 26 '08
Pros: Attractive design but after time the unit will become a waste of power. Cons: No provision for cleaning heat exchanger.
My neighbor asked me to determine why her Cuisinart wine chiller does not work properly. There is a serious problem with the unit but it is due to a serious design oversight. The unit has dust and lint clogging the fan and aluminum heat exchangers which should be expected during normal operation of the product. What should not be expected, and is inexcusably poor design, is that no access is available to clean this accumulation from the unit. The technology of these solid state chillers requires all heat exchange surfaces to be clean to optimize the temperature differential the unit produces.
The Cuisinart design for this chiller causes me to doubt that long term correct operation of the products is a concern. It seems reaping profits from short lived products is their primary design criteria. This is unacceptable!!!

Unfortunate wedding gift
by michellew7 ,Mar 14 '08
Pros: My marriage is in much better condition. Cons: It broke in nine months.
I got exactly what I asked for, but it unfortunately sucked.
This wine cellar looks nice and worked great but broke after nine months. The motor still works but it has stopped chilling my wine. I'm heartbroken, because the dear friends who bought it for me obviously stretched their graduate student budgets to do so, and it's an insult that it should have barely lasted.

DO NOT BUY THIS!
by vicdiscoaolcom ,Jul 26 '06
Pros: Looks nice Cons: Doesn't work and has cheap parts
It only works in rooms that are 70 degrees or cooler(as stated in the manual). We found this out the hard way, after we purchased and waited and waited for the lousy thing to chill our wine, then finally consulting the manual. Also the two front legs broke off instantly right out of the box. This appliance, is a piece of junk.

by bevlvbird ,Nov 16 '05
Pros: appearance, weight, interior light and preset temps. for red or white wines. Cons: There are no cons
I just received this from www.cooking.com (no tax & no shipping costs) and it is great. Simple yet professional looking with interior light that can be turned off if you prefer. I am going to order 3 more for our grown children for Christmas.

3 words - piece of junk
by jbbrla ,Jun 07 '09
Pros: Looks nice and worked well for 5-6 months. Cons: It is NOT built to last. DO NOT BUY ANY CUISINART WINE CELLARS!!!
Preciously bought a CWC-600 (6-bottle), which lasted about 6 months then stopped cooling. Then like the idiot I am, I bought the CWC-900 and it quit working in 5 months. Pretty stupid, huh? Cuisinart is an over-rated, piece of junk; the French are getting even with us!

very poor quality control
by ilmcneil ,Nov 23 '08
Pros: It looks very nice the outside and the price was right. But would not buy. Cons: It ran constantly and made lots of noise, plus the moisture issues.
My son and wife bought this cooler? What a mistake, it ran constantly and it ruined the top of an old family heirloom due to the moisture that accumlated in the bottom, for which they said was not their fault. I would say it is a manufacturing error. Now will have to pay someone to refinish the serving table.
