Pros: Inexpensive, makes 12 cups of good coffee. Cons: No way to shut off that bleeping beeping.
I'm up at 6am. It's still dark outside. I make coffee in my new Cuisinart Classic DCC-1100 Coffeemaker. I sit down to read the morning paper and suddenly I think "What the f... is beeping?" It's a shrill tone, 5 ...
Pros: Easy to use programable timer, great temperature coffee, attractive; automatic shut off; solid unit. Cons: Tiny and light numbered increments on the resevoir strip; Small area to pour in water
My Krups pot finally gave up and I had no idea what to buy in a coffeemaker! I purchased a new Krups model --hated the "fancy" features and returned it. I just brought home the Cuisinart 1100 today. I am very particular, so I think ...
Pros: The ability to change from a full pot to 1-4 cups is great. Cons: Sometimes the water backs up into the grinds and makes a mess.
The Cuisinart DCC-1100 coffee maker is also known as the 12 cup classic auto drip coffeemaker. You can purchase his coffee maker directly through Cuisinart, at many local retailers, or via online stores. Be sure to find the best deal possible as prices ...
Pros: easy to use, makes good coffee, attractive Cons: small hole to pour water into
My Braun coffee maker died after 6 years. I replaced it with this one. It is easy to program (I like my coffee to be waiting in the am) Brews a good tasting, hot cup of coffee. I have a good burr grinder and didn't need a grinder and was looking for a ...
Pros: Basic coffee maker with good warming plate temperature. Cons: Water filling is a bit cumbersome.
This coffee maker was purchased about 1 1/2 years ago to replace an inexpensive unit that did not keep the coffee hot after brewing. The first cup would be okay but the temperature of the warming plate was unacceptable. The decision to purchase ...
Pros: Love the brand, color and price. Cons: not a single con.
I bought this coffee maker after trying almost every other one out there, for every price rage. This is the one! I loved the color and I've always had respect for the maker Cuisinart, and the price was right. I bought this and it was here before I knew ...
Pros: Makes good coffee period. Cons: Carafe, Fill area, clock, control switch
This coffee maker does make good coffee, BUT it's done before you can finish cleaning up the mess from spilled water and coffee grounds. What a nasty design. The no drip carafe is not that at all and the fill area is so badly located at the rear of the machine's top that water spills over the side, into the filter area and all over everything. On top of that the carafe cannot be completely emptied into the reservoir without holding the carafe above the lid, about 10" away from the very small hole. It leaves about a full cup in the carafe, unless you spilled it out already.
The LCD digital clock is NOT backlit and so cannot be read except by bending over and staring at it closely. I called Cuisinart Customer support about it and they said the clock is to save money. Thanks.
The programming control switch is also hard to read without bending over. The pretty picture on the box gives no indication this coffee-maker is so hard to use and live with so my advice is to just move on to another brand. Certainly, not up to Cuisinart's usual standard of quality.
Pros: Good coffee, quick brew time Cons: Poor design, carafe leaks, hard to pour water into reservoir
This machine makes good coffee and brews fairly fast. The problems are in the design. The carafe has a plastic rim that is not sealed to the glass bowl and it leaks coffee from under the rim, down the side of the pot and onto any surface. I hold the carafe and cup over the sink so I don't have to clean up a mess after I pour my coffee - not good. It's also a challenge to pour water into the reservoir without spilling it. All in all - don't buy it.
dont waste your money on cuisinart/conair products by concerned111 ,Nov 29 '09
Pros: never be suckered into purchasing another cuisinart or conair product, the corporation stinks. Cons: poor service warranty cost you money to ship coffee taste like plastic. wasted 70 dollars
after 5 months of owning this the coffee started tasting like plastic. I paid 70 dollars for this and cuisinart, who suggested vinegar, then lemon juice to rinse it later said it could be that Im using too much coffee ( yea right). they would only take a look at it and determine if its defective or not ( hey plastic tasting coffee is not only from a defective product but also must be a health issue) at a cost for me to ship it to them and then 10 dollars to return. Well I went to walmart and for 17 dollars bought a black and decker dlx1050 in white. made my first pot today and its tastes like coffee. why should i try and send something back for more than the cost of a new (yes cheaper ) coffee pot which does the same thing without a product leaching the taste of plastic.
Pros: It keeps papers from flying around and takes up space in the trash can. Cons: No support from the manufacturer.
I recently purchased this item from my local Lowe's store. (it is just over the 30 day limit to return an item) It has produced about 4 pots of coffee before it died. When calling Cuisinart for help, I was given a big run around by a women who named herself Kimberly. Even after I explained that the unit was dead, she was trying to explain to me that I would need to decalcify the coffee maker. I couldn't get thru to her that the coffee maker was dead. I got nowhere with her or with Cuisinart. I now own a $70 paper weight and will NEVER buy another Cuisinart product again!
