Pros: Sleek, good-looking. Tall enough to open tall cans -- if only it would open them. Cons: Hit or miss performance -- mostly miss. Looks are quite deceiving, performance below par.
I really expected that this cool looking Cuisinart can opener would be a great addition to my recently remodeled kitchen. I ditched the old, black cheapo can opener and opted for the sleek stainless finish of this baby. She looks good on the cabinet, ...
Pros: An Attractive Reliable Can Opener Cons: Price; lacks the elegance of the cutting wheel of my previous can opener. (SEE UPDATE)
Several days ago, I decided to toss my Cusinart Can Opener into the garbage! Not this one, but the one that I used for several years. I'm not sure how many cans it opened. Basically, I would use it to open a can a day (big can of dog food), sometimes two ...
Pros: More solid that any current models out there. Cons: Hard to clean if you spill anything on it (and you Will!)
I have owned many Cuisenart applicances and am quite happy with most all of them. This can opener is indeed solid and you don't have to fear slapping on a tall can of chili beans and tipping it over. There are some things that arent quite as stated. ...
Pros: Stable, Blade removes for cleaning Cons: Somewhat difficult to use
I have a philosophy that it is cheaper in the long run to buy the best. Based on price, this should be a good can opener. It has all of the features you would expect in a top-of-the-line model. From the exterior, the can opener seems to be solid and ...
Two years old and working great by mitchfindlay ,Nov 26 '06
Pros: Heavy, easy to use, works great. Cons: Sometimes does not open the can on the first try.
I read the reviews on this appliance, but really wanted a well made can opener, and trusted the Cuisinart name.
We have had a very positive experience with this model.
It is heavy, well made, and opens most every can on the first try. Some reviewers mentioned having trouble getting it to open cans. We have seen some evidence of this, as once in awhile, the opener does not cut into the can lid. But an instant reinsertion into the cutting head always does the trick. Newer models don't sound as well made, so we plan on giving this model as a gift to friends this holiday season--I am sure they will appreciate this fine piece of kitchen engineering...
Pros: A dream to look at. Cons: Missing a knife sharpener. Broke down after 1 year of very lite use.
I read a lot of the reviews (mostly on amazon) on this product some down right scared me.
I love all that Ive gotten from Cuisinart so I took a gamble, and boy, am I happy I did!
I read the instructions 5 times thinking I might have missed something as some of the over reviewers made it sound so complicated, its not.
1 year later ~ When I can get it to work, it drops the can.
Pros: Rugged design. Cons: Design engineers never tested it.
Nice rugged design, with one huge flaw. It just won't easily start cutting into a can. It takes 3-6 tries to get a can started. It's been that way for the 6 months we have owned it. It just got pitched out.
Fantastic prices with ease & c...(Stock status: N/A)
